@AIFinanceBrief @RtaxiTracker I can’t wait for Miami. I can finally test it out.
English

@chocorito7 @DennisCW_ $243 a month though. It’s still a fully FSD capable Tesla. You can’t even get a Corolla lease for less than $350 a month these days.
English

@themichaelkonen @DirtyTesLa If Robotaxi scales as wide as people expect, it WILL happen eventually, as rare as it might be.
English

@DirtyTesLa Let me just throw a random hypothetical at you that will never occur in most people's lifetime.
English

@DOdeniyi9389 @heinzketchup99 @LinkN01 I find that weird, because I feel like FSD does even better on highways than it does on street driving, where it’s significantly more likely to find edge cases. I’ve never understood the no-highway thing.
English

@heinzketchup99 @LinkN01 Yes because v15 may unlock level 3 unsupervised on highways.
English

And now we are at 32 Unsupervised vehicles.

Alexander Kristensen@LinkN01
Unsupervised fleet is now 29. This tracks with 2x every 2 weeks. There should be around 50 of them by the middle of May. And about 1000 by the middle of July.
English

@Fritzjm @OverlyTrev Interesting. Got any videos of this behavior? I did have it do that once in 14.2.2.5 and it was so weird, because even the visualization screen showed the light green but yet the car wouldn’t move, it was a left arrow though.
English

@OverlyTrev 14.3.2 has missed two lights for me. They go green and it just sits there until I give it some juice.
English

FSD did not miss an exit all the way from NC to Florida on V14.2.2.5
However, just now it missed its first exit. It had every chance to get over but waited until 0.2 miles away, going 75 mph, to try. There was a truck in the way and it didn’t even attempt it. It could have easily slowed down and gotten over in time.
Does FSD not read the map ahead and know to get over sooner in high-speed traffic? It has been an issue for a while now.
I wonder if V14.3.2 would have been better.
Also, I wonder why I haven’t received it yet. 🤷🏻♂️

@emotor @MilMileBattery @aelluswamy @Tesla_AI Regression is when you go backwards, opposite of progression. They fix something and break something else.
English

@MilMileBattery @aelluswamy @Tesla_AI what does regression mean? everyone talks about regression on FSD
English

Highway behavior (sitting in outside lane) is a definitive regression on 14.3.2 @aelluswamy @Tesla_AI

@OverlyTrev @DirtyTesLa Not a matter of safety on situations like this, but very easy to get a ticket from a police officer. In an ideal world we don’t have to worry about signs like these, but that’s not happening anytime soon
English

@DirtyTesLa Yeah I 100% agree it needs to be fixed. However it did so Safely. In an autonomous world do we even need no right on reds? It’s only there because of horrible human drivers.
English

@sheaduncan_ @DirtyTesLa That’s not happening anytime soon though. For now, autonomy needs to be designed with signs into consideration. Tesla is great at driving, but it still leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to reading signs.
English

@DirtyTesLa Can't wait until everyone sees the light and we go fully autonomous. We could finally get rid of traffic lights and all these other dumb traffic rules.
English

Not being able to read signs is becoming dangerous - especially if 14.3 actually can read signs.
"Traffic from left doesn't stop"
FSD treats like a 4 way stop.
500 voice notes here.
Most critical safety disengagement I've ever had and I apologize to the person I freaked out.
@Tesla_AI

English

@thedooberhead Pretty generous of him to give a warning like that. It is still against the law... for now.
English

@4djprmpxmn @irobot2017 @dallasteslaclub @Tesla_AI I know the release notes, just don’t understand how that make any sense from a technology perspective. Especially when it didn’t make navigation better, but worse.
English

@shiftfury @irobot2017 @dallasteslaclub @Tesla_AI “With Version 14.1, Tesla has integrated navigation and routing directly into its vision-based neural network, enabling the system to respond to scenarios such as blocked roads or closures in real time.”

English

Morning,
@Tesla_AI Just want to give it to you straight. FSD is probably a 5x better driver than me. Could be closer to 10X at this point. That being said…. Navigation and map routing decision are maybe a 1 out of 10. Actually horrible. At this point, it’s the only time I take over control of the car.
English

@dwshorowitz I think it’s definitely troublesome and something they need to give priority over other small non-safety related things. I think the technology for it is there; it’s just a matter of time. Until then, I don’t think the fleet can expand significantly without safety issues.
English

@shiftfury Precisely, and these signs were very obvious and conventional on a bright clear day. This was all within a 2 mile trip, so the idea of Tesla providing a fully autonomous Robotaxi fleet is frankly concerning for public safety.
English

@koalafiedtesla @Skye_Borg This is a branding nightmare. Idk how they’re gonna get out of it.
English

100%. Autopilot is far from self-driving.
I would be more ok with the naming if they changed all Autopilot cars to "Highway Self-Driving" like they did on Gen1 Model S/X with the "Highway Autopilot" package but technically the newer Autopilot is more sophisticated and thus isn't technically highway restricted.
English

@4djprmpxmn @irobot2017 @dallasteslaclub @Tesla_AI I don’t understand how navigating is “moved” to end to end neural nets. It makes sense for the actual FSD but isn’t navigation just looking the most efficient path on a set of map data just like Google Maps does it? Don’t understand how ML has anything to do with it.
English

@irobot2017 @dallasteslaclub @Tesla_AI They moved nav to the end to end neural nets in 14.1 and it clearly needs refined. They just dropped the big architectural change of moving to MLIR in 14.3 so they’re focused on fixing any safety regressions on that first, is my guess.
English

@koalafiedtesla @Skye_Borg That’s soooo bad and will confuse so many people.
English

@Skye_Borg Nope. Just the standard Autopilot (it's a October build 2023 legacy 3)
English

@Ivan_S3XY @tom_politano @TimDOES I said this yesterday to someone else. I hate the inconsistency and makes me question whether it’s even worth upgrading from 14.2.2.5 when I get the update notification or wait it out for another better update.
English

@tom_politano @TimDOES It's mystery for me how it's possible for so many people to have great experiences and so many that have bad experiences at the same time with same build. lol
