DGCA deputy director and Reliance's Asteria Aerospace's VP were arrested in this operation by CBI. The DGCA director had asked for a bribe and the company official was giving the bribe (for some drone approval?) The GoI is definitely working against corruption in all departments. I keep seeing such news where GoI's own agencies keep getting the corrupt in many of GoI organizations. While some will call it as corruption being rampant in the system, I see it as good news. It is good as such action is better than not having any, thinking all is well. And the action also deters others from corruption. Corruption in India has become a culture, especially in state and central govt orgs. Ingrained over decades of license raj and corrupt governments. It will take years to clean up more. But one thing patriotic Indians must be beware of is the adversaries are using corruption by local officials in democracies to incite the public against the central government these days. This is the new communist method coming from one country to destabilize, using psyops, democracies with governments not favorable to them. Like they have tried in the Philippines, Indonesia, Argentina etc. Though countries like Pakistan, China, Iran, Turkey are much more corrupt, we will never see anti-corruption sentiment or protests in these countries because there's no incitement of their people. In India, every issue is being taken and amplified across the country and people incited to feel much more miserable about it. Though these issues are much worse in neighboring countries and better in India than what they used to be in the past. Be it infra woes or corruption, we can clearly see a pattern of public incitement amplifying them. A lot of people immediately say "So you don't want us to protest against the government for this or that issue?" Not at all. But don't become a useful sepoy of the adversaries to be used to destabilize your own country, your life, cause anarchy, and push yourself into economic misery they can take advantage of.

🚨 New Paper Can AI models be conscious? We argue that answering this question requires us to have a validated theory of human consciousness first and without that, the concept “ai consciousness” is not well grounded. Accepted at AAAI Symposium 2026 lossfunk.com/papers/ai-cons… 🧵

Russia has suddenly received immense geopolitical leverage through the circumstances following the practical closure of Strait of Hormuz - oil and oil products, LNG, fertilizers, helium, sulphur acid, food commodities, unrestricted commerce and maritime corridors. You name it! On top of that, the US is kept busy in the war in Ukraine and has no time for negotiations and trilateral formats with Ukraine. And Europe, being once again sidelined in another US decision, is facing precarious commodities situation amid full diversification away from Russian oil and gas. In addition, Russia has suddenly much better bargaining position with China within the DragonBear and with the Global South for commodities exports. Oil and fertilizers will further flow to India. Probably even some LNG. Against this background, it means that it’s in Russia’s interest to help Iran prolong the ongoing war in the Middle East. Thus, reports on intelligence sharing by Russia for Iran should not surprise us. More to come.

Research suggests optimal naps are 20-30 minutes for cognitive boosts like improved alertness and memory, without grogginess. Longer naps (over 30 min, like 1-2 hours) can cause sleep inertia, disrupt nighttime sleep, and are linked to risks such as higher blood pressure or diabetes in some studies. The brain volume research didn't specify durations, so short is generally safer.

Skip your daily nap, shrink your brain. A study by researchers from University College London and the University of the Republic in Uruguay has found that people who habitually take daytime naps tend to have significantly larger total brain volume—a key indicator of brain health that typically declines with age and is associated with reduced dementia risk. The team used Mendelian randomization, a method that leverages genetic variants (present from birth) that make people more likely to nap regularly. By analyzing brain MRI scans and health records from more than 35,000 participants in the UK Biobank, they discovered that those genetically inclined to nap had brain volumes corresponding to 2.6 to 6.5 fewer years of aging. While this doesn’t definitively prove that napping itself enlarges the brain, the genetic approach helps rule out many lifestyle-related confounding factors, providing stronger evidence of a potential causal relationship than traditional observational studies. Notably, the researchers found no link between napping predisposition and performance on tests of reaction time, memory, or visual processing. However, previous studies have shown that short naps can deliver immediate cognitive benefits. The study lacked specific data on nap duration, but prior research suggests naps of 30 minutes or less provide the greatest advantages while minimizing disruption to nighttime sleep. This is the largest study to date linking regular napping with brain structure. Although further research is needed in more diverse populations, the findings bolster the idea that a brief daytime rest may help preserve brain volume and support long-term cognitive health.

@aravind India doesn’t uniquely “hate” its successful businesses; criticism exists, as it does globally, driven by inequality, perceived cronyism, or specific controversies. But this is balanced by widespread admiration for entrepreneurs.

💯. And there is a reason for this. 50+ years of socialism programming all Indians against big businesses and the rich. A time where for any business to just start and survive it had to pay the govt and all its depts. So capitalists and the wealthy are just looked down as corrupt and seen with contempt. It has become ingrained in Indian culture. Interestingly, this culture inculcated by a party is being weaponized again by the same party to selectively hit certain businesses that do not play well with it.

Long before @elonmusk and the west woke up to boycotting Netflix, Indians were well aware of Netflix's nefrarious agenda. I cancelled my subscription to boycott it an year ago. But I am still concerned the @MIB_India doesn't do anything about the content on such OTT influencing our youth (50% of India is younger than 30) in the wrong way. I propose GoI impose tax to mirror Trump's "foreign movie tariffs" on OTT. These platforms can show content as usual, but they have to pay a 100% tariff (on license cost) for content promoting: - Vulgarity & perversion - Anti-national themes - Woke ideology Who decides? No, not babus and ministers. The Indian public, aadhar verified with verified netflix subscription, must be able to vote on these content online openly and decide the level of such vulgarity, perversion, subversion, DS agendas in it.

Watched Kantara: Chapter 1 last evening. Just like the first part, this too is deeply rooted in Sanatan Dharma. It’s not just cinema but a Sanatani awakening, reminding Shiv Bhakts of Mahadev’s presence in nature, our bond with Kuldevtas & the cultural revival Bharat truly needs. Very well done @shetty_rishab 👏🏻
