I joined @NYPDPC and the loved ones of the 103 fallen NYPD members whose names will be added to the Hall of Heroes this year. Among them are 42 officers who succumbed to illness after their selfless service in the wake of September 11, 60 officers we lost to COVID while they worked tirelessly to keep our city running, and one officer who gave their life in the line of duty protecting New Yorkers from a mass shooter. Each name etched into this memorial is a life, a family, a whole world. These officers embodied a profound commitment to public service and to the people of this city. We honor them with remembrance, and promise to never take their service for granted.
