Fun story.
At that time I got a job for UI design in a game but I didn’t have a graphic tablet, the design had some shapes in it for the health and mana and other elements I told my art director I don’t have one but I can do it with a mouse.

@Kamp4u2 @miniature567 I'd say Lorgar definitely would've talked down to him and seen him as someone to save, instead of as an actual friend. Mortarion would've fucking hated him because of his foresight. Instead of Mortarion, I propose Sanguinius, to help him deal with the visions.
English

@shockhammer40k @miniature567 Speaking of which, if I could give curze """friends""" as in one sided tsundere feel essentially just to also justify his rant later about how they hated him but he didnt?
Id give him lorgar and Morty honestly, just something to justify the future things he do/bit tabletop bias
English

@shockhammer40k @miniature567 Becuase I feel Curze is one of the few that shouldnt be this hypocrite? He should be buck broken by the fact his visions at times didnt go to plan since hes so fundamentalist in their vindication.
Then again id scale back a bit of that mindset to justify him saving Lorgar

I think having his parents be murdered by gangers would be an excellent way to do it. However, I think they would lose a pretty important part of the whole identity of the legion, which is that for all the alleged nobility, they are just masquerading, and that in reality, they enjoy what they do whether or not the victims deserve it. So honestly I quite like where they're at, it makes a lot of sense.
English

@shockhammer40k @miniature567 Treatment by giving him actual parents would do wonders and not ruin the whole night haunter aspect.
If anything, it gives a fire to his tested method since he experienced nostramo at its worse since he landed there.

//The shovel is something that the Krieg have almost never been officially shown to use in combat, and is a complete and utter last resort, otherwise they look like idiots for not using the advanced tech at their disposal.
The Railguns are actual common weapons with the Tau.
Retributor_Armour@Citadel_Base
Is everyone ready to finally admit the Tau rail gun stuff is Krieg shovel levels of lame yet?
English

@DraculaeDyke Well, not necessarily totally fine, but certainly not nearly as bad as they were made out to be.
English

I mean it's a mix of both. They hate that it has lore, and they hate it BECAUSE they haven't read it. The amount of books that I've been told are dogass and should never touch in a million years, read, and turned out that they were totally fine is innumerable. Like genuinely it's incredible how insufferable they are without even having read the book themselves.
English

@fire_caste_tau @BleachedNeia @ElyayLeader I have indeed, I even help with some of them on rare occasions. You should join the Discord :D
English

@shockhammer40k @BleachedNeia @ElyayLeader I'm sure you've seen the Pontius video, everything about him is awful. It has some interesting ideas but it's always boring as fuck. Imagine war of the beasts level writing, but Tau.
English

@fire_caste_tau @BleachedNeia @ElyayLeader So I've heard lmao. Sounds like the writing is just incredibly bland from everything I've been told. I'll get around to them eventually, I suppose.
English

@shockhammer40k @BleachedNeia @ElyayLeader That's a good idea you REALLY don't wanna read Phil Kelly.
English

@fire_caste_tau @BleachedNeia @ElyayLeader Perfect. Wanted to be sure. I have generally avoided T'au books because they don't really intrigue me as a faction, and the one or two I have read really haven't kept me engaged in any meaningful way, either because of poor writing or, admittedly, I was also busy with IRL shit.
English

@fire_caste_tau @BleachedNeia @ElyayLeader Yeah, I know that last bit :D. But either way, they're still not nearly common enough to consider them as standard, yeah? That's basically what I'm askin about.
English

@shockhammer40k @BleachedNeia @ElyayLeader That's hard to say, but when I mean more common I don't mean seen everywhere. They are practically irreplaceable in the short term. Every 4 years they have to do a trial and they'll get promoted, to command a battlesuit you'd have to be a 'shas'ui' (veteran)
English

@fire_caste_tau @BleachedNeia @ElyayLeader How common though? Like what would a comparison be for Imperial units in terms of rarity? Superheavy tanks?
English

@fire_caste_tau @BleachedNeia @ElyayLeader Yeah. So Battlesuits are about the rarity of an Astartes, give or take?
English

@shockhammer40k @BleachedNeia @ElyayLeader Battlesuit pilots are in general very rare, but broadsides aren't necessarily rarer then, a crisis for example.
English

@shockhammer40k @AustinJtodd Some of the best guard stories hands down
English

@BleachedNeia @ElyayLeader Broadsides are about as common as Astartes, no?
Yeah, but I was referring to handheld, as I thought you were too, my bad for misunderstanding. I was just making the specific point that the handheld standard isn't railguns.
English

@shockhammer40k @ElyayLeader The Heavy Rail Rifle is equipped by Broadsides, one of the most common heavy support units in the T’au
And the Hammerhead Tank, an equally common sight, uses a railgun
They are the Tau equivalent to a battle cannon or maybe lascannon? That seems right.
Still standard
English

@fire_caste_tau @NagashReturns @AustinJtodd No clue but I won. He blocked me because apparantly pointing out he's either wildly wrong or shit at baiting means I can't take a joke
