@Caoticaperfecci @NanoZero_1 Yes for sure. But modern recording techniques are very different from the 60s- Brian Wilson clearly did not know the first thing about Pro Tools, plugins, mastering etc, so it’s impossible for him to have had much of a hand in producing any of his solo albums.

@showprobablspam @NanoZero_1 Regarding production, here in Spain I have met many self-taught people who learned analog production in a short time. And regarding session musicians, I don't know, but it has been very common in many groups due to insistence from the record label.

@Caoticaperfecci @NanoZero_1 I didn’t mean to insinuate that they couldn’t play at all, but the core members of the group were never very good on their instruments. They were always propped up by the other musicians on stage. Dennis could keep a beat, Carl could play basic leads, and Brian could play chords.

@showprobablspam @NanoZero_1 In the concerts available on YouTube, Dennis plays the drums, there are guitar solos by Carl, and I think that Brian's piano (when he rejoined the group) is plugged in. That is my opinion

@Caoticaperfecci @NanoZero_1 I love the BB but they were an industry fabrication. Live & in studio, it was other musicians making the music. Aside from a period in the 70s, the songs were mostly written by people outside of the group. As a fan, I’ve learned much about them and have come to these conclusions.

@111wonderfu1 If you were really a Brian Wilson truther you would know that the whole “Brian Wilson is a musical genius” thing was nothing more than a marketing concept concocted to compete with the Beatles.

@Caoticaperfecci @NanoZero_1 They were a boy band. None of them played any instruments, at least not well. Brian Wilson wasn’t a musical genius. They were invented by the music industry as an answer to the Beatles. The music was great, but it was all smoke and mirrors.

@NanoZero_1 "Is there anyone who can actually distinguish Al Jardine's guitar in concerts? Does that guitar really have any volume? Does it even exist?

@Variety Brian Wilson had little to do with Pet Sounds. It was mostly the Wrecking Crew and various songwriters and producers who made that album. Brian Wilson was not a musical genius; that was made up by the label as an answer to the Beatles. I say this as a huge Beach Boys fan.

Beach Boys co-founder Mike Love says Brian Wilson was "depressed" over the initial reception of "Pet Sounds": "He put so much into it, so much effort, that yes, he had to be depressed at the reception that Capitol Records gave it. Maybe not what John and Paul gave it overseas, but yeah, it’s not great when your record company doesn’t understand what to do with your newest product. So I’m certain he was not happy about the way they treated the album." variety.com/2026/music/new…

This man went to McDonald’s trying to get a “pup cup,” he claims he comes here often and gets them, however this time, the manager was there and told him they don’t do pup cups nor are they supposed to. He’s literally mad because they aren’t making him an item they don’t have on their menu nor do they sell, I doubt they have a button in the register for a side of whipped cream. So who are we siding with? Was the manager just following procedure or was he out of like for not being served an other they don’t sell?

This is the guy Andrew Tate is fighting today. This is going to be worse than Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua. Somehow Tate is still 82% to win on Polymarket.

Renaming the Kennedy Center for Trump would be a sacrilege. JFK was a martyred, historic US president whose name is synonymous with artistic excellence in America. The idea that Trump would put his name BEFORE Kennedy’s—or even alongside it—is obscene. The Kennedy Center should never be renamed.
