This married woman is an apprentice just like me, we are both learning how to sew. This morning, she came to work late and our madam asked her to kneel down. This is somebody’s wife ooo. I summoned courage to tell her that she can’t ask someone’s wife to kneel down just because she came late, at least respect her husband. Can you imagine that this woman slapped me and ask me to stop coming to her shop.. that I’m so disrespectful and that’s why she doesn’t accept Igbo people. I didnt argue i just asked her to refund me back my 160k I paid for 6 months and I’ve only spent 3 weeks with her People around are asking me to beg my madam instead of asking for a refund that this is how it’s being done

This whole theory that “if everyone has a problem with you, then you’re the problem” or that if you have a problem with everyone, you must be the issue is deeply flawed and honestly unfair. There are people who are widely liked not because they’re good people, but because they’re agreeable, pretentious, and willing to conform. And there are people who are constantly labeled “difficult” simply because they don’t know how to play along or pretend. The thing is The more easygoing, accommodating, and “let’s keep the peace” you are, the more you’re perceived as likable even if it means constantly shrinking yourself. Meanwhile, the moment you stand firm, call things out, and choose not to be pretentious, you’re suddenly labeled difficult. Sometimes, it’s not that someone has a problem with everyone; it’s that they’re just not willing to tolerate what everyone else is comfortable tolerating.

@WildChefHuman It’s my take too and I don’t see it as a flaw! I fight for my friendships/ relationships and only walk away when my fight is met with disregard. Relationships are so precious and I will work hard to preserve them. But I’ll move on when there’s no fight left in me

I always stay back to fight for what I believe in, what I invest in & what matters to me because I believe everything and everyone in my space is worth fighting for, regardless of their shortcomings
