I gave a 10 to a 3-hour indie game with no fail state, only walking and interaction segments with minigames that only require QTE button pushes, and only 4 characters. These can be valid, important games. It all depends on execution and audience impact. washingtonpost.com/entertainment/…

@JimJustice_WV @SenFettermanPA @SenCapito @SenatorBennet No they don't. Being on SNAP is not meant to be easy. It's meant to tide you over until you find a new job, or figure out other solutions. If i can't afford a "Hot Rotisserie Chicken" working 40+ hours a week, then why should my tax dollars pay for someone else's?

It’s plain common sense: a hot rotisserie chicken is a healthy, easy meal for busy families. Folks on SNAP should be able to grab one on the go. That’s why @SenFettermanPA, @SenCapito, @SenatorBennet, and I introduced the Hot Rotisserie Chicken Act. 🐓

How is it a gotcha? It's a perfect question to reveal whether a nominee will actually be willing to stake true claims even if he knows they'll make Trump personally angry—a pretty important quality in a Fed chair!
Jonah Goldberg@JonahDispatch

I get being annoyed when Elizabeth Warren (who I find insufferable) or other Democrats play gotcha by asking “Do you believe Donald Trump lost in 2020?” You know what would have spared Republicans the embarrassment and annoyance of these questions? If Trump hasn’t lied about winning and hadn’t tried to steal the election.

Gotta give away land to vassals (or your kids) while you’re alive to avoid partition. Do not create new titles that are equal to your highest title. But also use the disinherit function liberally especially when one of your sons brings shame to the family, even if it’s your heir. Eventually you should change the law to primogeniture but that doesn’t unlock till way later.

If a guy asked me whether I’ve ever played Crusader Kings after our first date I’d immediately block him. Why? Because it shows he’s not a good listener and didn’t even remember that I had already bragged about how I’m 600 hours in while restoring the Roman Empire.

EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification. I glanced down at the message. “Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began. So began my text exchange with the top prosecutor for the Eastern District of Virginia. lawfaremedia.org/article/anna--…

Again, this No Kings thing is not my bag. But the almost cultish refusal to understand the point by Trump’s usual apologists is bizarre. Yes: He was lawfully and legitimately elected. But Stephen Miller’s Jacksonian-Wilsonian theory that Trump has a “mandate” to do whatever he wants is anti-Constitutional hogwash (it’s amazing how the position of two of the most iconic Democrats in American history is now the religion of the GOP). The word mandate doesn’t appear in the Constitution. It is impossible to have a “mandate” to exceed your authority under the Constitution. Even if Trump won an actual landslide (he didn’t), and all of the voters wanted him to exceed his authority, it wouldn’t (and certainly shouldn’t) matter. I honestly never want to hear the faux right wing eggheady refrain “we’re not a democracy, we’re a republic” ever again from people claiming that Trump can do whatever he wants because “the American people voted for this.” That is the exact opposite of republicanism ffs. It’s also not true. Trump got lots of votes from people who just wanted prices lower or didn’t want Harris to be president. The idea all of his voters pre-approved everything he has done or will do is more cultish nonsense. Regardless, if the American people want a politician to violate the Constitution that doesn’t give that politician a scintilla more right or authority to violate the constitution. I’m used to explaining this to democracy fetishists of the left. Didn’t expect to spend the last decades of my career trying to explaining it to populism fetishists of the right.

Never almost ended up homeless who making this false narratives
MLFootball@MLFootball

POWERFUL: #Commanders Pro Bowl WR Deebo Samuel says his MOTHER was not around growing up because she got caught up in the “street life” and he nearly ended up homeless. Deebo had to move in with his grandmother until he was a freshman and she got sick, he nearly became homeless, “I had nowhere to live. Nowhere to go. No one, I felt like, I could turn to” He says then his stepmom, Precious, took him in and kept strict guidelines to assure his grades were good enough. "My grades weren’t the best, but she clamped down on me… I really think she saved my life. Sh*t, she raised me.” Deebo went down to be a star in college and an All-Pro & Pro Bowler in the #NFL. Remarkable journey ❤️👏

I was a public school teacher in the hood for 11 years, and I know this type of kid. The type that would smack the kid sitting in front of him, tell the teacher “IDGAF” when corrected, and ruin an entire year’s worth of learning for the entire class. His special education teachers would describe him as “actually very smart with a lot of potential,” despite him failing every class and scoring a 9 on the ACT. There would be countless meetings with him and his mom and the social workers, psychologists , and principal would speak in soft voices and nod and smile when the kid told them he wants to be a “doctor.” They’d design all sorts of ridiculous accommodations that give him ample room to behave however he wanted and terrorize his teachers and peers with minimal consequences. Teachers would spend the entire class trying to reign in his behavior, and when they called security to remove him, they’d have to evacuate the entire class first. He’d rarely receive any consequences. The principal would reprimand the teachers for “not building a relationship with him” and accuse them of “singling him out because he was black.” As a result, they’d give up and his behavior would escalate. If he was really bad, he’d get a time out in a special room where he’d sit on his phone and tell the supervisor to “shut the fuck up” if they said anything. Maybe he’d have to partake in a “peace circle” if he became violent. He’d eventually get “socially promoted” to his senior year and there would be a massive effort to get his credits recovered, mostly by pressuring teachers to give him alternative assignments and 50% for the work he didn’t do. He’d walk down the graduation stage and everyone would cheer, and he’d probably do something embarrassing like give the finger to the audience. As a young adult, he’d walk the city behaving exactly as he did in school because he’d been socialized to learn there are zero consequences for his behavior. Depending on the city, he’d probably get similar treatment from the cops and public afraid of creating a public scene that would lead to riots in their city. One day, he’d snap, and do something like this. And only then, would everyone act surprised, as if this wasn’t largely in part due to how our public schools negatively socialize and enable the behavior of animals that should be locked up or institutionalized as teenagers.
