Sanjiv Goenka choses MS Dhoni as the greatest IPL Captain. I think he did not realise this in 2017. At that time he had removed Dhoni to give captaincy to Steve Smith of his own team, RPS who was defeated by Rohit led MI in the finals.

Outside of India and expats, it would be interesting to know how much of the world actually watches the IPL.

I am all for the credit given to Ian Bishop for the research he puts into the junior cricketers.
But he's reading up and giving you stories written by reporters in the front lines who have travelled to the small venues, interviewed aspiring cricketers in locations around the country and really put in the hard yards.
To not credit the likes of @PurnimaMalhotra, @pratyush93_raj, @captainshanky and so many others while acknowledging Bish's efforts in reading up on them from the stories written by these reporters is a bit surprising.
Every one of these stories are being heard on air because a reporter went and chased it down. Please do give them the credit they deserve.

@IsThatMaaz Unless he makes it big in world cricket, Farhan will be remembered as Charles Coventry of T20 cricket!

Many congratulations to Team India! 🇮🇳
@surya_14kumar , @GautamGambhir and the entire team management, that was a clinical, professional performance of the highest order. Calm under pressure, ruthless when it mattered.
Back-to-back T20 World Cup champions… and thoroughly deserved! Take a bow. 👏

@bhogleharsha Stumbling upon a good combination. Must include Axar though!

It was drizzling when the toss happened and Pakistan, winning the toss decided to bat first. And immediately after the toss, I am told by our corespondent Shehan Malik that there is lightning around and may rain any point in the evening.
Wondering why Pakistan want to bat first in a game threatened by the rains - I suppose teams want to bat first if there are chances of rain!

It’s going to be a major selection dilemma for the team management. Abhishek Sharma is currently the No.1 T20I batter, but the runs haven’t been coming. If the management even considers dropping him, especially at the Super 8 stage, that would be a massive call.
But if they drop him, Sanju Samson comes in. And Sanju, too, hasn’t consistently delivered in big matches. He’s already under pressure, and stepping into the Super 8 would only increase that pressure. We all know how scrutiny intensifies at that stage.
So it’s a classic “between a rock and a hard place” situation. If Abhishek doesn’t perform, the pressure will only grow in the Super 8, especially since so far, only one batter has consistently stepped up, and that’s Ishan Kishan. Ironically, he wasn’t even central to the original World Cup plans, and circumstances have pushed him into this role.
Now the big question is: how does Abhishek respond to this pressure? Because it doesn’t seem likely that the management will break the current opening combination. They still have faith in him.
