@jaycook_ @BizballMaury Entirely inaccurate Jay. Oakland got $450m in Fed money to go towards a waterfront park. That IS an actual location. But Fisher demanded something like $500. Oak did what was asked but wouldn’t tax public. Plenty of blame to go around in Oak but this ain’t it. Check yourself

@BizballMaury Talk about Fisher all you want but don't forget that the City of Oakland couldn't come up with money for a stadium, a location or help in any way. It wasn't until Fisher announced he was moving that Oakland did anything meaningful.

There is often the belief that the commissioner does not wield as much power as one would think. That extracting owners is a difficult matter that is nearly impossible to do. Reminder that Selig went after McCourt with the Dodgers. It could have been done with Fisher and the A’s.

The Diamondbacks beat the Giants, so the Diamondbacks and Mets are tied in the NL wild-card standings heading into the final weekend of the season. It’s SD/ARI and NYM/MIL beginning Friday (and maybe NYM/ATL Monday). Don’t forget! The Mets own the tiebreaker over the Dbacks.

Great playing by the band, even transcendent at moments, but the setlists didn't feel any different than any other 4 night run, definitely not what my expectations were for a fest that called itself mondegreen
