Released v2.0 of my @Keysight oscilloscope waveform viewer after a complete rewrite. New export to @sigrokproject PulseView option allows working with protocols the scope can't decode on its own. "pip install wavebin" - vksdr.com/wavebin

@jashankj #sigrok/PulseView is extraordinarily happy to decode any and all signals and would never refuse to do so. We're happy to help with any issues, but lots more info is needed. Ideally join us on IRC (#sigrok on Freenode), much easier for live debugging/help than Twitter.

thought I'd killed my USB oscilloscope --- nope, just a dud USB cable. and there's something wrong with sigrok/pulseview on ubuntu --- refuses to decode signals.

@RDAGUERRE Quick update, the Windows installers now include libieee1284. Completely untested, please let us know if this works, nobody really ever tested this device on Windows. For longer discussions/tests please join us on IRC (#sigrok on Freenode), ideally.

@RDAGUERRE The libsigrok driver for that device is currently not enabled in the Windows builds. It *should* theoretically be doable, the driver uses libieee1284 which seems portable enough. We'll investigate.

@Talhasorg Hi! We have a driver for this device series which supports the LPS-301 currently. Support for other devices should be doable. Patches welcome! sigrok.org/wiki/Motech_LP…

@iamtommythorn @TinyFPGA Because this release is still compatible with the current set of libsigrok/libsigrokdecode releases. 0.5.0 will require upcoming API-/ABI-incompatible versions of those libraries.

#PulseView 0.4.2 released! Lots of new features, e.g. saving session setups, GUI translations, easier decoder selection, decoder annotation filtering/hiding, "binary" (WAV, PNG, PCAP) decoder output view, handy key shortcuts, tons of bugfixes. sigrok.org/blog/pulseview… #sigrok

@migry_tech There used to be a 64 channel limit in some places, but that should be mostly gone now, if there's some places left it'll be eventually removed there as well. Anything up to 64 channels was fully supported from the start, though.

Simple question to all you @sigrokproject fans. Just how many channels does the Pulseview software support? Every picture I see shows only 8 channels. The manual shows only 8 channels. I cannot see how to add channels. I find it hard to believe that it is limited to 8 🤨

Recent #PulseView features you might have missed: annotation export in various formats (printf-style spec), protocol decoder subwindow which allows nicer PD selection and stacking. sigrok.org/blog/pulseview…
