@mikeachimugu01 As a traveller, ignorance is very costly. Read widely, understand your destination’s visa policies and know the roles of govt agencies—not just in travel, but in everything you do. Ask questions where clarity is lacking. It saves you from avoidable ignorance.

RT @B_ELRUFAI: I rarely comment on what is not my business. But as the Representative of Kaduna North, the affairs of the state regardless…

@NgugiEvuti The injustice is too visible for even the blind to ignore. And if you’re afraid of credible party primaries how’re you confident of defeating an El-Rufai

It’s almost like the whole country is talking about Kaka. Anywhere you go in Kaduna Kaka this… Kaka that… He is the center of discussion. Even political opponents admit he’s formidable.

They were warm towards my team and I. They said to me that Nigerians are very smart and business-minded. They know the names of the three major tribes, and they even know about Nigerian cuisine, especially our soups.

@mikeachimugu01 Thank God for a safe trip. How was the experience, apart from sports issues? What's the perception of Nigeria among Turkish citizens?

Returned from Istanbul and what I can say is, the love that the people there have for Victor Osimhen is overwhelming. I met with fans of Besiktas and other teams. They hate that Gala won the league, but they wish they had Victor in their team. Sports is a great platform for image projection. Hopefully, we groom more excellent sportsmen and woman to keep selling our image globally.

@KeneAgwu Since the cancellation is from the airline even though you presented yourself for the flight, you can apply for a refund if that is what you desire.

It is criminal for any airline operating in Nigeria to tell you that a ticket refunds would take two months. The regulations stipulate 14 days, and this is law. If you file for a refund from the airline and they fail to do so within stipulated timeframe, kindly file a complaint via cpd.ncaa.gov.ng or send an email to michael.achimugu@ncaa.gov.ng ifueko.abdulmalik@ncaa.gov.ng cpd@ncaa.gov.ng

That is the point, when I asked them, I was told it would take more than two months to get that refund. Honestly I want a full review of the situation and remedies available to us as well. I had to get another flight through another city and spend extra nights at a hotel facility not forgetting the risks and inconvenience that incident caused us.

The airline owes you information and light refreshment. I will revert, sir. Apologies for this experience.
Kenechukwu@KeneAgwu

@mikeachimugu01 Okay, thanks. There was no explanation nor any attempt to support us by the airline. Most of us were used to that environment and it was a terrible experience for us.

There was a situation that disrupted their flight out of Maiduguri last night. What has happened with yours is a ripple effect of that disruption. However, we will check with our Katsina officers and revert.

I am not a travel agent, and this is not my brief. But, this once, I will make an exception in order to make your experience easier. Let me know the details of your flight, and I will link you up with someone to assist you.

Hi @mikeachimugu01, blessed day. I'm trying to get @flyvaluejet to reschedule my flight for tomorrow to another date. They have since refused to respond. Can you help? cc @fccpcnigeria @FAAN_Official @ValueJetHelp

@mikeachimugu01 Education remains the backbone of every functioning society. The innovators, doctors, engineers, pilots, regulators and professionals keeping the world running are products of education. Skills are important, but education still gives them structure, depth and sustainability 💯

This is fact. The world runs on the expertise of educated professionals across every sector!
Michael Achimugu@mikeachimugu01

This feeling. I know it. I understand it. Your feeling is valid. But....... As time passes, humans evolve. New ways to create wealth and survive. However, the fact that some uneducated persons have made it does not invalidate the gains of education. In fact, it is dangerous to peddle such an insinuation. The car you mention that Peller drives was made by educated persons who understand physics, mathematics, and the mechanics of things. Without them and their inventions, there'd be no cars for Peller to drive. His money would just be money and nothing to do with it. When you travel by air, do you think it is Peller that built the aircraft? Do you understand the extreme levels of educated technology it takes to ensure that aircrafts are safe for people like Peller to travel? Where does Peller save money? In a bank, yes? If bankers were uneducated, would your money be safe? Who keeps Peller medically sound to pursue his business? The doctors, nurses, and pharmacists. If they all decided to be social media influencers, who would be responsible for treating Peller when he takes ill? Educated people sit atop most of the richest, most important corporations, agencies, and associations on earth. The issue here is, you expect ALL educated people to earn top dollar. There are combinations of factors that make some richer than others, and there will never be a time when all men would have parity in earnings. Even the informal, 'uneducated' sectors you refer to do not have parity. Just like among educated people, Peller is also in the one percent of that sector. For every 'uneducated' young person who has earned a living off social media, there are millions more still struggling to date and wondering IF their time will ever come. In the end, everyone cannot go to school, but school provides a platform if grace is absent. It qualifies you before opportunity comes. Because success is a combination of grace, daring, opportunity, preparedness, timing, etc. If you don't go to school, you will not be like Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. Without education, you'd not be Elon Musk. Exceptions exist, but the biggest, most privileged people today had some form of education. While money is important, remember this; educated folk are the ones taking care of ALL of the most important, behind-the-scene aspects of life that keep you going. They may not be loud but, without them, you will probably die without enjoying life with the money you make. Don't give your mansion to an uneducated architect to build. It will collapse on you someday. With these few points of mine.....have an amazing weekend.
