There are 2 ways to go about this. 1. Get a Left inside winger/10 which means we might need to play Cucurella and Hato our wide at times or get an overlapping LB or one thay can also play with a left winger and tell Joao to prioritize making more runs than coming deep. OR 2. If we can't get aone. Let Joao Pedro be the one to do it instead and get a striker that can stretch defences. Even someone like Jackson can do that and Palmer will have life again with all that movement. Would love an Osimhen type too But yeah something as simple as 2 can increase the threat in our attack massively but Joao wants to play 9 so stretch the defence, get more chances and shots with movement.

I don't want us to play Enzo and Palmer together in the half-space. We need someone in that LHS who can stretch the defense to pair with Palmer. The fact that João Pedro likes coming short to get involved makes it very easy to defend against us because our penetrative runs now mostly come from the wide players who are usually far from the opposition's box and don't offer much threat. So, the opponent only needs to have a narrow back four, and we will struggle to create quality chances or break them down. We need to pull narrow defence apart with movements that will create more space. Right now, it looks like most of our attacking players want to the ball to feet in front of the opponent's backline without much off the ball central runs. Hopefully, Alonso will play with a tight line and have Caicedo and Enzo in the pivot. Then play a different profile in the left-hand side to give us better balance and less predictable.

🚨 BREAKING: Southampton have been expelled from the playoffs by an Independent Disciplinary Commission after the club “admitted to multiple breaches of EFL regulations related to the unauthorised filming of other clubs’ training.” Middlesbrough will now face Hull City on May 23. Saints also receive a four-point deduction for the 2026/27 season. Southampton admitted breaches of the observation of training sessions within 72 hours of a scheduled match. The fixtures against Oxford United in December 2025, Ipswich Town in April 2026 and Middlesbrough in May 2026 all cited. Saints have a right to appeal and with parties intending to resolve on May 20.

In 2002, high school student Charles J. Bishop was inspired by the 9/11 attacks and decided he wanted to recreate the horrific act. During a flying lesson in Florida, he stole a small plane and flew it into the Bank of America Tower in downtown Tampa, crashing between the 28th and 29th floors. Due to the plane’s small size, the damage was limited, and the boy was the only person killed in the incident.

@DullahanPitch @waysxmany I agree but A justice system works best when it protects victims and the public while also reducing the chances of reoffending. The challenge is balancing punishment that ensures accountability with rehabilitation that helps prevent future harm.

@waysxmany I'd rather real effort go into rehabilitation criminals so they can benefit themselves and others. Especially those serving time that didn't commit any violent acts. Maybe I sound too soft, but many just need a helping hand to prop them up. More good can come from bad situations.

This game just showed how the squad should built next season. — You need a central organiser at CB at all times, Colwill is our only option atm. Ideally we should get a RCB who can partner Colwill but also able to act as a central organiser without Colwill — Caicedo is better when he has a player who can sit beside him so he can express himself better. Get a player who can sit but also play in advanced roles so you can have rotations in midfield — Get a runner à smart runner on the LW, we have so many talented passers in the team and we’re not direct enough because the first line lacks depth with Joao Pedro as CF — Palmer RW

🚨 Brighton confirm plans for the UK and Europe’s first purpose built women’s football stadium. The stadium will provide bespoke facilities for Brighton’s women’s team and represents a key milestone in the club’s 2030 vision. Work has begun on a planning application for the new women’s stadium located at Bennett’s Field. The location is immediately adjacent to the Amex. The new women’s stadium has been designed with a minimum capacity of 10,000 and will be connected to the Amex via a new bridge link. Significant progress has already been made on design work for the stadium. The club’s ambition is for the stadium to open no later than the 2030/31 season, subject to planning approvals. 🗣️ Women’s managing director Zoe Johnson: "The prospect of a bespoke stadium, built exclusively for women’s players, staff and supporters, is incredibly exciting. It is a project that is the first of its kind in the UK and Europe, and one of only three in the world, and will capture the imagination of stakeholders across the women’s game, not just here but globally." 🗣️ Tony Bloom: "Since we announced our intention to build a stadium for the women’s team in Brighton and Hove, we have seen unprecedented interest locally, nationally and internationally. It is a topic I am regularly asked about by many of our fans, clearly indicating the growing level of interest and potential for women’s football. "It is a significant further investment in our long term vision for women’s football at Brighton & Hove Albion. A women’s stadium in the city is essential to the continued growth of the team." 🗣️ Paul Barber: "With a capacity aligned to Women’s Super League regulations, the stadium reflects our clear belief in ‘right sizing’ the stadium to grow the fan base sustainably. A stadium ‘built for her’ is not only a significant capital investment for the club but one which we know will also benefit the city and other areas around the stadium through the creation of local construction jobs, apprenticeships and training opportunities for local people; further boosting the club’s already significant contribution to the local economy, and at a time when there is a great deal of economic uncertainty."
