We are very sad to hear the passing of our dear friend and great supporter, Tony. Tony was one of a few people who never missed a Friday night at Sydney's Town Hall to protest the gross injustice Dan and his family have faced over the last 3 years. Dan had spoken to Tony a couple of times and extra grateful for all his care and support. We were honoured to have known Tony. His family and friends are in our hearts and our thoughts. Spoke with Australia’s FM @SenatorWong. We discussed at length developments in the war in Iran and Lebanon. I emphasized the massive scale of missile, rocket, and drone attacks against Israel from Lebanon. Israel is acting to defend its communities and citizens. I described the reality of life these days in our northern communities, to which residents returned after over a year in which they didn't live in their homes. Most international media outlets are currently portraying the situation on only one side of the border. Unfortunately, the Lebanese government is not taking practical steps against Hezbollah, neither to stop the attacks on Israeli civilians, nor in other contexts. I welcomed the arrival of Australia’s new ambassador to Israel, Neil Hawkins, and expressed my gratitude for the swift acceptance of the credentials of our ambassador in Canberra, @Hillel_Newman.

Congress gave themselves a raise last year. They also voted against raising the minimum wage. The minimum wage hasn't changed since 2009. Congressional pay has gone up 9 times since then. But sure, it's the workers who are greedy.🙄

BREAKING: Minnesota hits the Trump administration with a huge lawsuit for covering up evidence in the Alex Pretti and Renee Good murders! The State of Minnesota just filed a federal civil lawsuit against the Trump administration, demanding that it turn over all investigative records related to the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti during “Operation Metro Surge.” Minnesota is asking a federal judge to issue an order forcing the administration to hand over the materials. The lawsuit specifically asks the court to declare that the Trump administration’s “policy of refusing to share investigative materials with Minnesota authorities concerning the federal officer-involved shootings” is “arbitrary and capricious.” This is a direct challenge to the administration’s secrecy surrounding the two deadly shootings of American citizens by federal agents. State officials say they need the records to conduct their own investigation and hold those responsible accountable. The move comes as criticism grows over the lack of transparency from DHS and ICE regarding the use of force in these high-profile cases. If Minnesota suing the Trump administration to force disclosure of records on ICE killings is overdue accountability, like and share to support it.

With the increases in petrol prices, the 200km round trip the Duggans take every week to see Dan at Macquarie is another financial hurdle - a consequence of this bogus case against Dan. Another stress to add to the list that plagues the family daily. It’s been 3 years since Dan was ambushed in a carpark in Orange. There’s been no Australian charges laid, no legal aid offered to the family, and no support from our government who has turned its back on the family.
