Discworld I is summed up by "Oh, put the love potion and the octopus in the toliet and switch out the caviar for prunes... now why didn't I think of that!?!?"

On the subject of things Ted Chiang said that are NOT being twisted into strange reductive arguments, I really love the idea of sci-fi being tied to a feeling of awe. When I read sci-fi, I usually do crave a sense of wonder. Leave me humbled by nature, the stars, the universe!

Just finished #MeetMeInAnotherLife by @silveycat and it is absolutely brilliant! Ambitious, beautiful, powerful, and utterly compelling; this is the perfect intersection of sci-fi and literary bookclub fiction. I would highly recommend this to everyone! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
