@simba_k_ You’re right: It’s mostly dependent on your app and your audience. All things being equal, the longer trial == higher conversion tends to hold true, tho

Last week, I soft launched my Christian Bible app that blocks apps until you put God first in the morning. I built the whole thing with @rork .. are these good metrics for week one?

@tomthings1 My exact thoughts while reading all the replies and quoted tweets. people have so much hate and bitterness in their hearts, unfortunately they’re the ones that make the most noise. But your tweet was bookmarked by a lot people, so be proud of that.

A Letterboxd redesign concept I made for fun became trending and some reactions went way too far.
For a community that celebrates bold artistic choices in film every day, the reaction to a bold design choice was surprisingly hostile.
Critique is welcome, always. I learn from it. But a lot of what I received went far beyond that and had nothing to do with design at all.
Hostility and threats over a UI concept are never acceptable. Please keep in mind that there’s a real person behind the screen before hitting send.
This experience won’t stop me. I’ll keep creating, experimenting, and putting my work out there, because that’s the whole point 🩶
Lots of love, tom

@organicbond I’ve gone viral perfectly fine using a USA sim and nothing more

The "US SIM card" method is a $50 scam that actually gets you flagged by TikTok's detection system...
Here's what's happening: you pop in a T-Mobile SIM but your IP is still from Australia. TikTok runs signal coherence checking. Your SIM says United States. Your IP says Australia. Your device language says English (AU).
The algo sees conflicting signals and instantly flags you as a spoofer. Shadowban activated.
The real method is creating a sterile device that passes ALL fingerprint checks:
Buy $100 burner Android. Factory reset before anything. Remove SIM card entirely (zero SIM = zero conflicts). Set device language to English (US) in settings BEFORE installing any apps. Set region to United States. Connect to WiFi only. Install US residential proxy. Check fraud score on pixelscan. NOW download TikTok.
Every fingerprint checkpoint aligns. No SIM conflicts. US language. US region. US residential IP.
TikTok's system sees legitimate American user on home WiFi.
Post one video... check analytics... 95%+ USA audience.
You just bypassed geo-restrictions for $100 while the SIM card idiots stay shadowbanned wondering why their "US targeting" shows 0% USA views...
This prints $$$ for clients who need US-specific campaigns.

Despite all the ads efforts, for now organic still rules in app installs.
But I also noticed more organic installs when i started running ads and that can be for 2 reasons.
1. Bad attribution, some installs might come from paid.
2. Increasing paid impressions on appstore might also make it rank higher.

English

@muratworks To download TikTok you need to use the AppStore a you need and AppStore account, can you sue an existing non US one? If not, won’t you need a US number to create one?

I hate to say it, but when I actually need something complicated correctly one-shot, gpt-5.2-codex high is much better than Opus 4.5 in Antigravity.

Thoroughly impressed by Google Antigravity. It makes navigating a large codebase with Claude incredibly easy.
