Intergenerational dialogues are a great way of getting organic feedback from communities. Through these conversations, the gender and age push-and-pull blame games in communities get discussed and often end in consensus. In Kuria East, @UNICEFKenya has supported us in holding a series of these dialogues as we sustain the momentum towards ending harmful traditional cultures and the resultant school dropouts, teenage pregnancies, and child marriages. As we learn from these dialogues, we are also keen to onboard the community-suggested approaches to shaping interventions as we join efforts to end gross violations of human rights that are disguised as cultures and traditions. #NAYAVoices

While strong legal frameworks outlawing FGM exists, many communities remain unaware of these protections. We must create legal awareness at the grassroots level and strengthen enforcement. @NAYAKenya @UNICEF @UNICEFKenya @JackOnyando @victorrasugu @unicefprotects

For this week our research team through the support of Amref health Africa in Kenya developed a policy brief from the research we conducted in 4 counties in Kenya.

We marked the Day of the African child by empowering students through an engaging debate session on leadership and governance, nurturing the next generation of changemakers and leaders. We also planted trees a symbol of growth, climate resilience and a greener future.@elfafrica1
