A few things to note:
1. KubeVirt (run VMs) has a different use-case than kata and friends (isolate containers)
2. KubeVirt allows to remove redundant infrasructure if VMs and containers are needed
3. Combining #Kubernetes Operators and VMs can really ease VM appliance workflows
