@SBarrettBar I know she lost her sister but she is awful and it really sums why the government is failing when it is populated with people of such low intelligence.

Within just 48 hours of the Tories refusing to sack Nick Timothy for his Islamophobic comments, the far-right is circulating a list of MPs “of foreign descent” trying to “silence” him. This is what happens when racism is normalised from the top: democratically elected representatives being told that we shouldn't be allowed to make decisions here at all, and even that we should leave the country. It’s a racist attack on our very democracy. Will Nick and his party condemn it?

@GrafhamWBirder @ChrisGPackham @ejwwest @Helen_Whately Indeed but recently as our energy has got more expensive we have lost chemical, fertiliser and steel industries. The stupidity is that it is a vicious circle as fertiliser now imported has to pay a £50 per tonne carbon tax which puts up prices on food.

On BBC Question Time, @Helen_Whately just said ‘we can’t afford Net Zero’ . She is a human health hazard and grossly misinformed or lying . Time to call out the lunatics leading us to hell . No facts , no truth , no integrity - no hope.

@GrafhamWBirder @ChrisGPackham @ejwwest @Helen_Whately That’s as maybe but they are still opening a coal power station every week to keep power prices low so they can manufacture for export. All we are doing is hiding our carbon emissions by offshoring all our manufacturing.

@simonjonesFPFS @ChrisGPackham @ejwwest @Helen_Whately CO2 per person is lower in China than most other countries. They are building more nuclear power stations than any other country. They are significantly investing in renewables. This is what is helping to drive their economy. The west is lagging behind!!

@ChrisGPackham @TheDisproof @Helen_Whately When anyone says “net zero” is too expensive, ask them “compared to what?”. Because “do nothing” is more expensive and “adaptation” will continue forever. Both are totally uncosted. And those saying net zero is too expensive won’t fund adaptation either. #bbcqt

@HumzaYousaf Why did the Muslims try to stop a Christian preacher by saying it was a Muslim area then? Hypocrite

We all know why Nick Timothy MP singles out Muslims celebrating Ramadan in Trafalgar Sq. Not because praying is domination, but because he wants to blow a rabid anti-Muslim dog whistle for political gain. He should be nowhere near politics, let alone the shadow front bench.

@dailybritainonx Wealth taxes have never worked anywhere they have been tried, why do you think yours would be different?

“We know a wealth tax wouldn’t fix everything,” he said. “No one has ever pretended it would, but it would be a very good place to start! “Implementing a 1% tax on wealth over £10m and 2% on £1bn would raise around £50bn per year and it would send a very clear message that those who have accumulated the most money would pay a little bit more. “Get that money flowing through the economy, make sure it is benefitting everyone. “For a truly progressive government, a wealth tax needs to be a day one priority.” @ZackPolanski said “all of the levers we have” would need to be pulled to truly “get the economy moving.”

Covering 3% of the UK with solar would generate as much electricity as the UK uses in a year. We have the solutions.

The current Labour MPs simply have no intellectual depth to them That is why they argue like sassy teenagers from 80s sitcoms and take simplistic positions The Labour MPs of the party's intellectual past must be spinning.

No one instructed me to do anything nick. My conscience sees a man seeking to foster division and hatred against a religious minority and calls it out because it’s wrong and dangerous. If you think Islam is unique in demanding one god alone be worshipped, the Ten Commandments will blow your mind….

@Elmono404 @DaleVince Explain to me how a business that pays a 78% tax rate is getting a subsidy? Also why did the head of British Gas say that even if the gas price went to zero electricity bills would still increase due to the subsidies to renewables.

@simonjonesFPFS @DaleVince Fossil fuels receive far more in subsidies than renewables on an industry which is fully established The energy crisis wasn't caused by renewables it was caused by gas Our exposure to Ffuels underlines the urgency for us to end our dependency on them & become energy independent

Drill Baby Drill is a fantasy, what a surprise. And global markets set the price we pay for our own North Sea oil and gas - this is the reason. I’ve been saying it for years - this report from Oxford, reported by GB News - confirms it all. This is a fossil fuel crisis and we can't solve it by pouring more oil onto the fire. We need to end our ruinous dependency on fossil fuels and global markets setting the price we pay for that and for our own green energy (the most stupid policy in the world of energy?). True energy independence is to power ourselves with green energy made and priced here. Until we have that we’ll suffer massive economic harm every few years on the rollercoaster of global oil markets. gbnews.com/money/north-se…

Sorry Kathryn, yesterday wind provided 54.9% of U.K electricity; renewables 58.5%; and gas a paltry 17.8%. Last year, domestic renewables provided 44% of U.K electricity. You realise I can use the internet, right?

@jonburkeUK Yesterday gas was the biggest form of generation The forecast for Thursday is for wind to drop to 875 MW at lunchtime Relying on the weather is a fool's game
