Yorkshire cricket really are appalling. Utter crap and the two overseas are as bad as I've ever seen and we've had some bad ones. Division 2 next season will allow some re thought and maybe some key personnel change.

One day I will remember that pre season hope and optimism when it comes to Yorkshire County Cricket Club is totally fucking pointless, what a big stinking pile of shite we’ve served up yet again

@alexsobel - sorry to see that the useless and self serving MP for Leeds Cenrral voted against the motion to refer Starmer to the standards committee.

Just caught Kemi Bachenoch in full flow during HOC debate. Her conduct is appalling ! No dignity. No self awareness. Just a vitriolic outpouring of poisonous invective. I can't believe previous genuine One Nation Tories would have tolerated her behaviour.

There is absolutely no one else I would rather have as PM than Kier Starmer at the present time. Not a single opinionated journalist will convince me otherwise.

Boris held drunken orgies in lockdown, hired a nonce and lied about both 18 times. Truss wrecked our economy. Starmer may have made a slight procedure error. The right is desperate 😂

Kemi Badenoch managed to ruin #PMQs. Again. She seems to think she knows better than everyone … about everything. Six questions wasted on trying to catch Starmer out over the Olly Robbins/Mandelson sitch. The term — flogging a dead horse — would be apropos.

@LabourBerry Is that based on yesterday's emergency debate when the lieing duplicitous useless c*** couldn't be bothered to turn up and explain his disastrous judgment and his lack of accountability and leadership. You need help

Keir Starmer is now a figure of abject derision. Today's 'performance' at the Dispatch Box was the worst of any PM in living memory. Epstein, Lord Mandelson, Ukrainian rent boys, Lord Ali buying him his suits and his glasses. It just gets evermore sinister. Redolent of the Jeremy Thorpe scandal. When it finally breaks, it will reach far and wide into the Blairite wing of this rancid LP.

@benwansell Extremely impressive indeed. The PM was embarrassing and the looks on Lammy and Reeves faces summed up the fact that the PM is a dead man walking

By far the most impressive I’ve seen from Badenoch. I’d be very surprised if she doesn’t lead the Tories into the next election - they will love this.

A preview of parliament tomorrow. MP: When did the Prime Minister know that Peter Mandelson failed his security vetting? PM: Let me be clear, I got the calls on Iran right, introduced breakfast clubs. Reform want division. I want a patriotic renewal in the national interest!

So all the other party leaders want Keir Starmer to resign. His success and growing stature as the PM and a respected world leader has made them all furious.

@KemiBadenoch If Mandleson failed DV vetting and that decision was over ruled someone must of made that decision to do that. That person must of sought advice from the PM . This is a resigning matter for Starmer now as he did mislead the House in September

Last September, Keir Starmer told Parliament three times that “full due process” was followed over the appointment of Lord Mandelson. We now know the Prime Minister misled the House. The Prime Minister must take responsibility.

EXCL: Peter Mandelson failed his security vetting clearance but the decision was overruled by Foreign Office to ensure he could take up his post as ambassador to US - a Guardian investigation by @PaulLewis @Direthoughts & me theguardian.com/politics/2026/…

You won't hear a peep about this from Farage, Tice or Jenrick. Under the Tories, up to 400 hotels were being used to house asylum seekers. With Labour, there are now just 185, with 11 more hotels re-opening to the public, saving the taxpayer £65 million a year.
Alex Norris MP@AlexJJNorris

There were more than 400 asylum hotels under the previous government – that number has been more than halved, with 11 more closing this week. Labour is bringing the asylum system under control.

I just got a call from Reform UK, asking, as a member, if I would help deliver leaflets in my area. I told him I wouldn’t, and that I’m no longer a member. “Oh, we’ve got you down as a member. Why did you leave?” For many reasons, but the most important one for me was when Farage announced Yusuf joining the party’s leadership, and that I didn’t want Islam to play any part in shaping Britain’s future. Unusually, he said that he didn’t either, which sounded odd, knowing Yusuf is head of party policy, Farage’s flip-flopping and total disinterest and criticism of the rape gang enquiry and his silence on Halal slaughter. The call ended amicably. Sitting here now thinking of the dozens of other reasons why I left, and how many, like me, are still being counted as members.
