A question for all right-thinking people. Since I spent a semester in the Big Apple, can I pretend to be a New Yorker even though I’m a South Carolinian? And if yes, how long am I permitted to pretend?

Feliz Cinco de Mayo! I’m re-sharing my annual thread bc while there tend to be a lot of liberals running around shaming people for celebrating an “un-important” Mexican holiday today- it actually IS important! A thread on why- plus a fun video on the history below! ⬇️🧵1/?

@CastroPodcasts the clear button has disappeared from my inbox! Help? How can I delete new episodes as a group rather than 1 by 1? Love the app generally

Help me do my job: what ingredients/cooking techniques/food questions do you have that you'd like to read my take on? (Please, help me brainstorm.)

I was one of the people laid off from NPR during this brutal round of layoffs. I’m gutted and heartbroken that I won’t be able to continue working at @nprmusic on stories I love with people I admire so much. npr.org/2023/03/23/116…

@Henderson4Ward5 @ChiBornfree @ChmnMendelson @dcpave YES. There is a nationwide shortage of certified mental health professionals. That's a generational problem thta we need to deal with through policy on a local and national scale. But there's no shortage of caring adults whose presence would be great for kids.

@ChiBornfree @ChmnMendelson @dcpave Agree. Given the difficulty we've had filling positions at the highest tiers, I am wondering if it would help/makes sense to push for more people to fill out school teams - people with specific training and skills, but not necessarily needing a graduate degree or certification.
