Sir Wicknell has withdrawn his pledge to Parliament and refined it into a pledge directed towards ZANU-PF’s 10 provinces. He said, “In the same breath, however, and still guided by my commitment to the transformative socio-economic developmental agenda of the Second Republic, I am pleased to announce that I have refined my position and now extend a revised pledge of USD 5 million, subject to further consultation with the appropriate party structures. This support can be channelled through provincial chairpersons as USD 500,000 across each of the country’s 10 provinces in order to drive grassroots development initiatives that directly benefit our communities. As a young businessman, I will continue to support the ruling party and government initiatives under the visionary leadership of President E. D. Mnangagwa. Zimbabwe is ours to build, and I will continue to play my part unapologetically.” Sir Wicknell explained that his intention was good and not aimed at capturing state institutions. He added that, as a political novice, he may not have properly followed the correct channels since he is not a politician: “My approach, though well-intended, may not have fully appreciated certain institutional sensitivities. As a political novice, I acknowledge that there are structures and protocols which perhaps I ought to have observed and consulted. In hindsight, I recognise that the channel through which the pledge was communicated was probably not the best, and I could have given better consideration to the timing of my pledge. For that reason, and for the unintended consequences that may have resulted from my well-intended pledge, I express my deepest regret.”

How to Make Your Goats Pregnant at the Same Time If you want all your goats to get pregnant at once, here’s a simple way to do it: 1. Separate the Male Goat Keep the male goat away from the female goats. Don’t let them smell or see each other. 2. Let the Females Ovulate

Working in a stroke ward , oncology ward and in palliative medicine has taught me something deeper than medicine… A person who loves you and will honour that for better or worse line is priceless! You need someone solid in your corner. In times that are not instagram worthy, in moments where no cameras come in . Where the reality of life is met and felt . You need someone 🤞🏽 A true ride or die. Someone who doesn’t disappear when life gets heavy. Someone to hold your hand as you sit in a consultation where bad news gets broken. The people whose partners stay through the fear, the bad news, the uncertainty they are truly blessed. Life is hard. You need someone to hold your hand through it all even until the last breath. May we all find that kind of love 🤍and may we be that kind of love .

Why would Wicknell "buy public sympathy"?
Simba@simplomangara

@1changamire Zvatoshambadzirwa vanhu vanenge imi kuti mumupemedze Wicknell wacho. He could have done it in private to avoid bring uneccessary attention, inga wani people are allowed to mourn in private without being paraded. He is just buying public sympathy.

I don't even agree with Wicknell most of the time. His associations, his lifestyle, the circles he moves in, most of that sits very uncomfortably with me and I won't pretend otherwise. But that is a separate conversation entirely. The question is what did any of us do for Ronald this week? Not in principle. Not in our "thoughts and prayers". This week, while the soil is still fresh as some of you said. Criticising the method of someone who acted while we debate the ethics of acting is a very comfortable position to hold. It costs nothing and risks nothing. Ronald buried his entire family a few days ago. Whatever you think of who showed up with that car and that money, he woke up this morning with both. If the gesture offends you, the answer is to do better. Go. Be there. Outshine it. Otherwise the critique is just noise...

RUFU NDI MADZONGONYEDZE.😭💔💔🕊🕊🕊 At a time when the CHRISTIAN community in Zimbabwe and across the world was celebrating the EASTER HOLIDAYS, I learnt with DEEP SHOCK the HEARTBREAKING news of a road traffic accident in which SIX LIVES were lost in the most painful and UNIMAGINABLE way. Those precious and YOUNG lives lost were all from the MUJURU FAMILY. I was out of the Country when this TRAGEDY happened, and I am even more SADDENED that our dear brother RONALD MUJURU, lost his beloved WIFE and all FIVE of his CHILDREN in this gruesome accident. May their dear souls rest in ETERNAL PEACE. 🕊️ It is the most difficult and UNIMAGINABLE thing for any parent to bury a CHILD, but to bury FIVE CHILDREN and at the same time, bury your WIFE is the MOST HORRENDOUS thing that no human heart should ever be asked to endure. My brother Ronald, NO WORDS can ever console you, nor can they restore what has been taken, and no one can imagine waking up to such a CRUEL REALITY. The loss of an entire family dims the very PURPOSE of waking up each day and WORKING HARD for those we LOVE the most. I share this grief as a Zimbabwean and as your own HOMEBOY from Zabe in Chivhu, which is so close to our Wiltshire Commercial Farms in Gandami where I was born and raised. I wish to extend my deepest appreciation to our amazing FIRST LADY, Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa, who demonstrated that she is indeed the MOTHER OF THE NATION by personally coming to console you and your family in your DARKEST HOUR. Such a gesture demonstrated the true spirit of UBUNTU that binds us together as Zimbabweans. I also acknowledge with respect our Homeboy and MP the Hon. Minister of Transport Felix Mhona , who also personally paid his CONDOLENCES and attended the funeral. In moments such as these, we are reminded that beyond any DIFFERENCES of opinion or persuasion, we are ONE PEOPLE. We mourn together, we COMFORT each other and we carry one another through SORROW as the Holy Bible commands us in Romans 12:15 and 2 Corinthians 1 3-4. While I fully respect the PRIVACY and DIGNITY that this deeply painful moment demands, I feel DUTY-BOUND, as your brother and as a patriotic Zimbabwean who understands LOSS, to extend my condolences. In that spirit, and WITHOUT any desire for RECOGNITION or attention, but purely as a TOKEN of LOVE in our African tradition yekupa CHEMA, I say to my dear brother Ronald, please GO AND SEE VICTOR at Exquisite Car Dealership and collect a brand spanking new 2026 Toyota Fortuner 2,8 GD6 valued at USD 80 000. You will also receive CHEMA of US$50,000 in cash as a humble gesture to support you as you PICK UP yourself from this DEVASTATING and PAINFULL loss. This is all from the bottom of my heart and by no means intended to gain any mileage at the expense of your GRIEF, but a small token to lessen the EMOTIONAL PAIN and unimaginable AGONY you are carrying. My brother RONALD, I am DEEPLY SORRY for your loss, and though nothing can ever heal this wound, I pray that the HOLY SPIRIT becomes your COMFORTER during this difficult time. May the souls of your beloved wife and children rest in ETERNAL PEACE until we are reunited again in the land of EVERLASTING LIFE… 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🕊️🕊🕊

Why do people in government think a privately owned business is “ours” and its raw resources “ours”? Even Marx knew raw materials weren’t inherently “ours.” How do mineral assets benefit “our” people? They’re just raw materials!!! Worse still, even Zimbabwean citizens and those across the value chain are being barred from operating “our” resources. This is the kind of rhetoric that precedes nationalisation, which is now a real risk worrying investors. Rightly so
Nick Mangwana@nickmangwana

If protecting Zimbabwe's mineral assets for the benefit of our own people upsets other countries, so be it. Nobody should progress at the expense of the Zimbabwean people. Our resources belong to our citizens, and we will not sacrifice their future just to keep foreign interests happy.
