Remembering the innocent lives lost in the gruesome Pahalgam terror attack on this day last year. They will never be forgotten. My thoughts are also with the bereaved families as they cope with this loss. As a nation, we stand united in grief and resolve. India will never bow to any form of terror. The heinous designs of terrorists will never succeed.

We are pleased to announce the largest transportation project in Dubai: a new 42-kilometre metro line. It will pass through 15 key strategic areas across the city, serve approximately 1.5 million residents, and strengthen connectivity to 55 major real estate developments currently under construction. The Gold Line project will cost AED 34 billion. It will increase the length of the Dubai Metro network by 35%, and is scheduled for completion on 9/9/2032. Our landmark projects to position Dubai as the world’s best city to live in are on track. Our future endeavours will not stop; rather, they will accelerate. Our plan is to build a better future for millions of people. We stand by our words and deliver on them.

Today, India takes a defining step in its civil nuclear journey, advancing the second stage of its nuclear programme. The indigenously designed and built Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor at Kalpakkam has attained criticality. This advanced reactor, capable of producing more fuel than it consumes, reflects the depth of our scientific capability and the strength of our engineering enterprise. It is a decisive step towards harnessing our vast thorium reserves in the third stage of the programme. A proud moment for India. Congratulations to our scientists and engineers.

Spoke with my brother HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and conveyed advance Eid greetings. We discussed the current situation in West Asia. Reiterated India’s strong condemnation of all attacks on the UAE that have resulted in loss of innocent lives and damage to civilian infrastructure. We agreed on the importance of ensuring safe and free navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. Through its indiscriminate strikes, Iran has sought to spread terror. Yet our people have defied it, facing these attacks with remarkable resilience and unity. Today, we expect the Security Council to act decisively as it considers the resolution before it, and to address this critical threat to international peace and security.

With God’s grace, the UAE is fully prepared to confront these threats. I extend my deepest appreciation to our brave armed forces, our committed security services, and all national institutions and teams working tirelessly to keep our country safe. They represent the highest standards of readiness and cooperation. We are truly proud of them. I would also like to underscore my sincere gratitude for the awareness shown by our community of Emiratis and our resident brothers and sisters, partners in this nation, who have expressed their genuine love and loyalty to the UAE through both words and actions. In the UAE, everyone is Emirati through their love for this land and their contributions to it. May God have mercy on the victims and grant the injured a speedy recovery. With God’s blessing, the UAE—the land of Zayed—will remain strong in its unity, steadfast in defending its sovereignty, and steadily advancing towards the future.

ما نشهده اليوم من التصرفات الإيرانية يشبه حال القطة التي حُوصرت في الزاوية؛ تهاجم كل من يقترب منها، بلا حساب للعواقب. لكن السؤال الحقيقي ليس في ردود الفعل فقط، بل في المسؤولية. من سيحاسب على الأضرار التي لحقت بدول منطقتنا؟ ومن سيدفع ثمن التوترات التي فُرضت علينا نتيجة صراع لا علاقة لنا به بين #إيران و #أمريكا و #إسرائيل؟ هذه الأطراف الثلاثة تتصارع، لكنها في النهاية تدفع بالمنطقة كلها لتتحمل نتائج قراراتها. اقتصاداتنا، أمننا، واستقرار شعوبنا ليست ساحات لتصفية الحسابات بين القوى الكبرى. نحن في #الخليج_العربي دعاة استقرار وسلام، ولم نختر أن نكون جزءاً من هذه المواجهة. ومع ذلك نجد أنفسنا ندفع أثمان تصعيد لم نصنعه. السؤال الذي يجب أن يُطرح بوضوح اليوم: من المسؤول؟ ومن سيعوض الخسائر التي تكبدتها دول المنطقة وشعوبها بسبب صراعات الآخرين؟ المنطقة تحتاج إلى عقلٍ بارد، لا إلى مزيد من ردود الفعل التي تزيد النار اشتعالاً.

أتابع في الأيام الأخيرة بعض ما تنشره وسائل إعلام دولية عن #جوهرة_العالم #دبي ودولة #الإمارات، مثل Bloomberg والـDaily Mail وThe Guardian وغيرها. وألاحظ مرةً أخرى هذا الأسلوب المتكرر: البحث الدائم عن أي رواية سلبية، وأي مبالغة، وأي احتمال للفشل. وكأن هناك من ينتظر حدوث أزمة ليعلن نهاية قصة النجاح. لكن الحقيقة التي يعرفها العالم، ويعرفها كل من يعيش على أرض #الإمارات المبروكة، مختلفة تماماً. الإمارات مرّت بأزمات أكبر بكثير مما يُكتب اليوم، وتجاوزناها بنجاح. مررنا بالأزمة المالية العالمية عام 2008، وقيل يومها إن دبي لن تنهض. ثم جاءت جائحة كوفيد-19، وقيل إن اقتصاد المنطقة سيتوقف. وفي كل مرة كانت الإمارات تفعل الشيء نفسه: تنهض بسرعة، وتخرج أقوى مما كانت عليه. هذا ليس صدفة، بل نتيجة قيادة حكيمة، ومؤسسات قوية، ورؤية واضحة تعرف كيف تتعامل مع التحديات. بعض وسائل الإعلام الدولية لا تتوقف عن التهجم على الإمارات، وكأنها تنتظر أي تعثر لتضخيمه ونقله إلى العالم. لكن الحقيقة أن هذه الدولة أثبتت عبر السنوات أن قوتها لا تُقاس بالعناوين الإعلامية، بل بالواقع الذي يراه الناس على الأرض. وإذا أردتم القصة الحقيقية، فانظروا إلى ما يقوله الأجانب الذين يعيشون على أرض الإمارات، أو كل محب للإمارات من غير أبنائها ممن اختاروا أن يعيشوا فيها. اسمعوا كيف يتحدثون عن الأمان والاستقرار وفرص الحياة الكريمة في هذه الأرض المباركة. الإمارات، كما اعتدنا دائماً، ستخرج من هذه المرحلة أقوى. فكل تحدٍّ واجهته هذه الدولة تحوّل إلى فرصة لتعزيز صورتها في العالم كواحة استقرار وأمان، وكأنها بالفعل جنة الأمن على هذه الأرض ووجهة الطمأنينة لكل من يعيش فيها أو يقصدها. ومهما حاول البعض تضخيم الروايات أو التشكيك في النجاح، فإنهم سيفشلون كما فشلوا في كل مرة. هذا الضجيج الإعلامي ليس جديداً علينا، وغالباً ما يكون انعكاساً للغيرة من تجربة نجحت حيث تعثر غيرها. أما الإمارات، فقد تعوّدت أن تردّ على كل ذلك بالطريقة التي تعرفها جيداً: المزيد من العمل… والمزيد من الإنجاز.
