Apparently this was never released on Quest 3. However, I’ve just found out that the fastboot command “oem set-sensorlock 1” enables Sensor Lock, and it works, even if your headset isn’t unlocked!

I think part of the reason it's so difficult for me to comprehend anything creative is that these are usually things people delve into at a young age.
Instead of watching anime or playing with LEGO I was nerding out over rocket engines and display tech.

With Sensor Lock, even if malware compromises the Android kernel once the Privacy LED turns off the cameras and microphones are electrically disconnected until the power button is pressed. Proud to be shipping this to our customers. On by default on the Quest 3S.

@Heaney555 They're extraordinary circumstances where the system fails safe. Like if an OTA update fails to apply or a kernel panic reboot happens while you're wearing the HMD. These will direct you to press the power button again before sensors become available to the rest of the system.

I truly am lost for words. 23 years ago @crashappsec sent an email about this wild idea and I jumped at the idea. hHere we are decades later with millions of people still using what we and the thousands of contributors have produced.
