"This is a Sean McVay decision. Make no doubts about it." —@PSchrags "If you think the Rams are 52 catches and 4 touchdowns away from a wide receiver from going to the Super Bowl and winning it, you're out of your mind." —@danorlovsky7 "I want guys that can help me right now win a Super Bowl." —@damienwoody The crew reacts to the Rams drafting QB Ty Simpson 👀

@SharpFootball @mike_e_kaye Everyone wants this post to be a like or not like pick. Warren is just saying there are reasons to be excited about potential and there are reasons Brazzell slipped to the 3rd.

Chris Brazzell to the Panthers: 6’4” with 4.37 speed 1,017 yards and 9 TDs in 2025 2.30 yards per team pass attempt (WR7) 48.8% of targets = first down or TD (WR6) Brazzell ran 93.2% of his snaps out wide (highest in class) 15.7 air yards per target (WR4) Deep, explosive, vertical usage 3.1 YPRR vs zone (WR4) But 2.05 YPRR vs man (WR25) but he comes from the Josh Heupel system — where WRs (Hyatt, Tillman, Thornton) feast on wide splits, space, and one-on-one matchups… then struggle to translate Then the physical concerns: 198 lbs with 9” hands Adjusted catch radius was 4th lowest in class 41% catch rate on contested throws (WR35 in class)

Instant evaluation of Panthers' selection of Texas Tech nose tackle Lee Hunter. Don't hate the pick. But will be curious to hear from Dan Morgan why he felt he had to trade up 2 spots for him (and move back 37 places on day 3). nytimes.com/athletic/71973…

@Ethanpe87122440 @JoshNorris The biggest advantage in the NFL is the fifth-year option available to first round picks. It makes zero sense to waste that on a player who will never touch the ball. Hard to believe in this era of analytics people don’t realize this.

@AdamSchefter The Tiny Panthers just added Will Grier as their Emergency QB—it’s an EMERGENCY because their team is a DISASTER! Bryce Young, who is far too small, and Kenny "Small Hands" Pickett, who was a total failure in Pittsburgh. The Panthers organization has NO CLUE what they are doing.

As the draft draws closer and teams fill out their rosters, Cowboys QB Will Grier is signing with Carolina, where he started his NFL career in 2019. Grier now will join a quarterback room that includes Bryce Young and Kenny Pickett.

Georgia Tech QB Haynes King has visits this week with the #Panthers and #Falcons, source says. Haynes started 23 games over the past two seasons, completed at least 69.8% of his passes.

@PeteThamel Strong endorsement from Rick Barnes but if Gainey is that ready why hasn’t he already been a head coach? 🤔

Tennessee coach Rick Barnes gave an enthusiastic endorsement of associate head coach Justin Gainey, who is set to interview for the NC State job: "If NC State knew what I knew, they would be begging him to be their next head coach. Because he's ready not just for NC State, he's ready to be the head coach of the University of Tennessee or any school in the country."

Sources: Hubert Davis will not return as North Carolina’s head coach, per me and @jeffborzello. He’s spent the last five years as the head coach of the Tar Heels, compiling a 125-54 record. UNC reached the national title game in his first year there.

I can NOT believe the action in this High Point-Wisconsin game! Windshield wipers wiping! Badgers by a point with under a minute to play. Tension convention!

Good signing by the Panthers to take advantage of the market dropping out on Packers LT Rasheed Walker. Gives them a very high-end insurance policy for Ickey Ekwonu, who's not a sure thing to be back for Week 1, as he rehabs a torn patellar tendon.

Between him and Demario Davis leaving New Orleans, and Mike Evans leaving Tampa, there's all kinds of good news for the Panthers.

The #Titans aren’t done, they’ve agreed to terms with CB Alontae Taylor, as the former #Saints star moves on. He gets a 3-year deal worth $60M with $42M fully guaranteed in a deal done by Trevon Smith of @AthletesFirst.
