buyer called again. He said he'd reported me to the state attorney general for discriminating against him because I "didn't trust people who pay in cash."
Nothing ever came of it.
Some friends think I overreacted because cash isn't illegal, and I lost what could've been an easy sale.
As for me, prevention is better than cure, ain't risking it

The buyer showed up with $42,000 in cash. I refused to sell him my car.
I'd listed my classic Mustang for weeks. We agreed on the price over the phone, and he drove nearly four hours to see it.
He inspected everything, took it for a test drive, and said, "I'll take it."
Then he opened a backpack.
It was filled with cash.
I told him I wasn't comfortable accepting that much cash and asked if we could meet at his bank so the teller could verify the bills and issue a cashier's check.
He refused.
He said he'd already withdrawn the money and wasn't putting it back into his account.
I offered to complete the sale at my bank instead, where the cash could be counted and deposited immediately.
He refused that too.
He became irritated and said, "Cash is legal tender. You either want to sell the car or you don't."
I apologized and told him I was walking away from the deal.
He left angry.

@TeamKFBfan8 @NASCAR Who said people don’t have issues with Sunday night games. If they don’t it’s likely that their team is not playing. Where racing their driver is racing
English

Why do we as @NASCAR fans seem to have an issue with Sunday night races, but don’t have a problem with Sunday night football games?
English

@dividendology I guess. Will never get it really maybe it’s just the comparison and why that one. But I don’t get it. If it goes up I sell I pay cap gains. If it pays dividends I pay taxes

🚨 $QQQI’s tax efficiency is SHOCKING.
Two people each receive $80,000.
One earns it entirely through W-2 wages.
The other receives $80,000 from $QQQI, using this illustrative distribution mix.
Estimated 2026 federal income tax:
W-2 wages: ~$8,770
$QQQI distributions: ~$430
Why the enormous difference?
A large portion of the assumed $QQQI distribution is classified as return of capital, meaning taxes are deferred while the investor’s cost basis is reduced.
Keep in mind, return of capital is generally tax-deferred, not permanently tax-free.
It lowers your cost basis, which can increase the taxable gain when you eventually sell.
QQQI’s monthly distribution classifications will also vary slightly month to month.
