@PrairieVeteran I’m not a Liberal. He doesn’t have more power than the President. He needs (independent) Senate approval for every bill. This is the system we have. Conservatives have had the opportunity to support electoral reform and they’ve been completely opposed to it. Reap what you sow.

The left keep laughing at us and say the people vote for the candidate and not the party when we talk about floor crossers. 🤭 I present to them.........the Terrebonne Candidate.😆

Singapore’s principled foreign affairs minister articulates here why the world must not negotiate with the Islamic regime occupying Iran in contravention of international law and UNCLOS. Others would do well to follow his example.

@jkenney @TristanSnell Mr. Kenney, in case you forgot, I'll remind you that your (federal) party was run out of office while campaigning on a "barbarian hotline" that was designed to run people of colour out of white neighbourhoods. It wasn't a good look for any of you.

Those of you feeling betrayed by Justin Trudeau hightailing it to live in California & hang out w/ Katy Perry, drinking from plastic straws, THE SECOND he was done being Canadian PM.....you're going to have to be sedated when Mark Carney, in September 2029, is hosting the 10p slot on CNBC, living at 63rd/Central Park West, & going to New York Rangers games 15x a season.

They could have profiled the 36 year old man who reached out to me. He has a university degree, works two jobs, can't keep up with his very basic expenses and lives in fear that his car or appliances break or he needs to take a (unpaid) day off sick!

@mxruden @junonewscom I totally get it. By political bias I meant forming personal opinions on particular politicians. Could have phrased it better.

@skldgb @junonewscom Political bias? I have a political opinion but don't you have one too? I think everybody has one to some extent. And we're free to express it.I admit that mine vis-a-vis PP mb stronger than others but I've been watching this guy for a long time and I think I'm not wrong about him

Poilievre says he is open to introducing a federal recall mechanism that would allow voters to remove Members of Parliament who switch parties mid-term, following a wave of public frustration over recent floor crossings. junonews.com/p/poilievre-to…

Thanks Erin. $90 billion, or $8,000 per family, in tax-dollars for a money-losing mode of transportation that will mean longer travel times than people now get by plane. Better to save the money to cut debt, taxes, and inflation.
Erin O'Toole@erinotoole

Pierre is absolutely right & Andrew effectively highlights the numbers including the fantasy ridership ones being used. We looked at multiple rail options in the Harper govt & for our ‘21 platform and only High Frequency Rail made sense and even that required continued subsidy.

This mindset is really dangerous. As an informed citizen you need to consume news from across the political spectrum. On the left, there’s the CBC, the Tyee, and the Toronto Star. On the right, there’s Juno news, the Hub, Moose on the Loose, and Rebel. I find CTV and Global to be pretty middle grounded. Taking in different perspectives, different biases, helps you understand issues as a whole from multiple angles.
The Wary Lemming@thewarylemming

@Aaronpete_ Starting a post while referencing "Juno news" is disqualifying. They're not a real news organization - they're propaganda. Says a lot about you that you are following and quoting them

NEW: Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was spotted attending Coachella with his girlfriend, Katy Perry. The 54-year-old former prime minister was seen wearing a white shirt and a backward hat. Just over a year ago, Trudeau made the announcement that he would be resigning as Liberal Party leader in Canada. Wild.

It’s interesting to see some people still panicking whenever a Canadian leader even mildly calls for reducing reliance on the U.S., as if we are supposed to walk on eggshells and try to avoid attention. Such submissive, fear-based thinking is the opposite of the internal strength and confidence necessary to build up our country.

Let this sink in: Canadians are founding twice as many businesses outside Canada than inside. We open more businesses in the U.S. than at home, after a decade of Liberals. And it has only gotten worse under Mark Carney, whose deficits and bureaucracy are bigger than Trudeau’s and whose tax burden is the same.

@skldgb @junonewscom Who said I'm against a strong opposition in Parliament? I just can't stand PP. Bc I believe people like him are very dangerous, especially when they get real power. I'm not saying PP is like Trump but US is a valuable lesson. OK, ask me in 3 years. RN I'll give Carney a chance.
