@sadgirlyboss I started saying that before I realized everyone else did too. It just seemed natural. I guess it seems natural to lots of us too

Bishop Barron participated and offered a prayer (without the sign of the cross) at this spectacle under the leadership of Paula White. When will the humiliation of the Church and insult to Our Lord end? The Church condemns participation in such an event.
Chris Menahan 🇺🇸@infolibnews

Franklin Graham: "Let us pray… Father, you tell us in the Book of Esther that the Persians—the Iranians—were wanting to kill every Jew…and do it all in one day…" "Today, the Iranians—the wicked regime of this govt—wants to kill every Jew and destroy them with an atomic fire, but you have raised up Pres. Trump."

@feelsdesperate It happened because they noticed that everyone in institutions was vapid and petty, but certain words made people stop or think or react. So they turned them into magic spells and repeated them everywhere; still empty of meaning. Racism. Literal violence. Me too. Etc.

A reasonable take I heard (from a millennial) is that wokeness happened because millennials looked around and saw that they had no transcendent belief system to guide them and give their lives meaning and so they just turned up the volume on Boomer anti racism because that was on hand. I think that’s right. It doesn’t explain everything but it’s definitely it’s definitely psychology true in an important way.

SNOWCRETE lives! On Wednesday, we posted that many of the large piles of Snowcrete that endured through March were gone. But readers informed us that there are still some out there. We received reports of piles lingering in Alexandria, Germantown, Fairfax, College Park, and Burke. There is also a massive one still in the parking lot at Carter Barron in NW DC. Pictured here is the Snowcrete remaining outside the BWI Daily Lot. Thanks to Jonathan Dean, Director of Communications at BWI, for sharing.

This question is for those living in the United States. How can I buy a handgun in the United States? In Japan, only toy guns are available. You can buy inexpensive toy guns at discount stores. You can buy slightly more expensive ones at specialty toy gun stores. Since they are toys, no special qualifications are required to purchase them.🤔

Everyone knows communicatio in sacris is a grave sin, condemned since the earliest days of the Church's existence. However, applying the principle requires careful consideration. A distinction must be made between active and passive participation. For reasons of justice or charity, passive presence may be tolerated, provided there is no great danger of scandal. One could argue that Barron's presence is justified insofar as it is conducive to the common good of the country and also the Church, whose mission would suffer if Catholic prelates adopted a policy of isolation and exclusivism. But is the bishop merely passively or materially present, and not actively participating? I don't presume to make this judgment, nor should we rush to any rash conclusions. However, we must remember that without grave reason, it is “forbidden by the natural and divine law, in which there is no power to dispense, nor any connivance that can excuse" (Holy Office, 1719). Communication is forbidden for good reason: it is not only a danger to one's faith and salvation, but these rites of non-believers constitute false worship, which is a profound insult to the honour and dignity of the infinite God.

It’s day 33 of the war, and my hometown is still being heavily bombed. Iranians are only now, with great difficulty, realizing that for all these years, they have essentially been living inside a massive military base the size of a country. They’re finally understanding why Iran, despite all its resources, has remained so poor: because all the money has been spent preparing the regime for its apocalyptic final war. None of this is defensive. It’s all offensive. After every strike, Israel posts reports in Persian explaining exactly what it has hit. The main reason for cutting off the internet is so that people won’t see or understand what’s really happening. Underground missile cities, bunkers built beneath residential neighborhoods, tunnels upon tunnels upon tunnels. It’s horrifying. This regime must go. #IranWar#ThankYouTrump

@gummibear737 Spot on. Perpetual Revolution governments necessarily create perpetual agitation outside their borders. How, when, and how well are operative questions, but the core principle remains the same.

Why has the Iranian regime been creating havoc for 47 years? Ideological capture: Just like communists, their guiding principle is "exporting the revolution" The regime views the world through a lens of an existential struggle against the US (Great Satan), Israel (Little Satan), and Sunni Arabs, while seeing itself as the vanguard of global Islamic resistance that will usher in the reappearance of the Hidden Imam (the Mahdi) and the final triumph of Shia Islam over the forces of evil at the end of days So creating chaos is not just expected...it is actively pursued as a religious duty in the regime’s dominant ideology in order to hasten the arrival of the "end of days" and the return of the Mahdi (the lost 5 year old boy) This is why they have been an agent of chaos...in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, and beyond But they're also very strategic so they care about the survival of the regime...thus they play the long game because self-preservation is also part of that ideology Why do I call them an eschatological deathcult if they are concerned with self-preservation? Because self-preservation is necessary to arrive at the end of days...no point in the return of the 5 year old boy and there's nobody there to greet him😉 So none of this stops so long as an eschatological theocracy rules Iran Acquiring nuclear weapons has been a big part of this strategy...and they've played this out for decades But what people are missing is that the acquisition of nuclear weapons removes all the guard rails related to self-preservation. When you are a nuclear power, you can act with impunity in waging asymmetric warfare with the rest of the world Nukes provide the space one needs to operate when you are "exporting the revolution" That's what people don't understand about the regime in Iran...they view the world through an end of times prophecy that hasn't been watered down by civilization

You guys understand we’re going to lose the birthright citizenship case, right? Before you completely freak out, the traditional understanding of the 14th Amendment, which we are seeking to change, is not an insane reading of it. Nor are our arguments insane like the left has been same. That’s baloney to just shut us up. Neither side is frivolous. It’s a tough call legally and objectively speaking. But when we lose it, and I think we will, don’t freak out that this is some sort of conspiracy. It’s a hard legal decision. Sadly, we have three judges who aren’t even going to try to examine the question and will always vote for what leftists want. But the rest of the court has to make a tough legal call. I think our reading is the correct one. For various reasons, I think they’re going to rule against us. Don’t freak out when they do. It’s not an utterly irrational ruling like so many of the district court opinions we’ve seen.

Do some churches not offer confession during Holy Week? If so no wonder we were so busy. I was in the confessional for just under three hours this afternoon and my parochial vicar for nearly two.
