We were proud to host @skyteam's The Aviation Challenge awards ceremony in Copenhagen. Each year, The Aviation Challenge brings airlines together to share data, test solutions, and scale what works – showing how working together is accelerating sustainability across aviation.

Vietnam Airlines participated in The Aviation Challenge 2025 across domestic flight VN248 (SGN–HAN) and international flight VN037 (HAN–FRA), testing multiple sustainability initiatives, including:
- fuel-efficient flight planning and optimized routing
- reduced onboard weight, including catering and equipment
- waste reduction and improved waste sorting
- passenger and crew engagement throughout the journey
Each initiative targeted a specific phase of the flight, demonstrating how incremental operational changes can deliver measurable impact. A strong example of how data-driven actions and collaboration contribute to continuous improvement in aviation.

We’re proud to announce the finalists of The Aviation Challenge 2025, our global initiative designed to help accelerate sustainable innovation and knowledge sharing in the aviation industry.
This year’s theme, Impact, brought together 22 airline participants. Collectively, they completed 80+ showcase flights and submitted 224 innovative initiatives across operational, organizational, leadership, and inspirational awards categories.
From AI-driven efficiency improvements to SAF adoption, waste reduction, and knowledge-sharing, this year’s finalists demonstrate how collaboration and data-driven action can help accelerate sustainability across aviation.
Congratulations to all shortlisted airlines! The winners will be announced at our TAC awards event in Copenhagen in January 2026.
