They pulled a piece of plastic the size of a nickel out of my eye. I had shards of metal, glass, and plastic behind my eye and in my skull. They said it was a miracle I survived.

On January 9, 2026, Kaden Rummler (a 21 year old college student) was protesting the fatal murder of Renee Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis outside the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building in Santa Ana, California.
Witnesses and video footage show GestapICE approaching the crowd and firing "less-lethal" projectiles (identified by some as pepper balls or kinetic rounds) AT CLOSE RANGE at protesters.
Eyewitnesses and video footage showed Kaden Rummler was holding a megaphone and shouting when he was struck in the face by these so called "less-lethal" projectiles.
Rummler’s family and medical reports confirm he underwent SIX HOURS of surgery for a ruptured. eyeball and skull fractures. He has been left permanently blind in his left eye.
