That’s exactly my point. In 2024, the talent gap was so huge that winning was expected. This past season was different there was uncertainty every night. They were projected to win only 30 something games in the regular season, yet they finished as the 2 seed. That’s a massive overachievement regardless of the first round exit. Once again, the team was never built to win a title. If the front office had any intention of competing, they would’ve paid Luke instead of letting him go to the Spurs. Even if Tatum had played Game 7 and they won, this team would never have made it past the second round without a legitimate big. I love Neemy, but he just wasn't enough.

All year long, I’ve seen so many celtics fans calling this their ‘favorite season’ & nobody took that as a shot at JT. Let’s be real about 2024 we were 14 games ahead of the rest of the East. We had a massive talent gap, and we all knew the trophy was ours. The fun part about this year is that we were projected to be a lottery team. This roster Wasn’t built for a title run everyone said we’d be at the bottom of the standings, but we proved them all wrong.
