@t_lider My issue is mainly your insistence on Gamzee being black coded & then proceeding to use this as a slight against Hussie when I just don’t agree that he was coded as such. The idea of him being a white guy who bites black culture really isn’t that insane given Dave Strider Exists

@homestuck_anon not to nitpick, but "psychic taste"? also, why do these focus on one sole male character while sidelining if not blatantly misunderstanding the disabled female characters? tavros is only one prominent example of ableist writing at play while the rest are almost never talked about

The way Gamzee is deliberately a satyr but wearing a nymph’s mantle so Gamzee is essentially race faking here. It’s a not subtle way of saying that Gamzee isn’t black which calls back to his conception of being based on icp / juggalos who appropriate black culture
