@tomhfh The "past few decades" is a useful phrase for a Conservative politician to use. Because it allows them to forget that Britain was richer than the USA while Labour were in power

@RyanStess @jfwduffield “Far behind”. Whilst I disagreed with the wisdom of removing Boris - the alternative was not Truss.

@jfwduffield @slp111111 They were far behind under Boris and his 'One Nation' rule. The downward trend began with him.

@RyanStess Economic centrism & being half sane. Not hard. You can't credibly argue for public sector pay restraint, cuts in public services & cuts in welfare spending whilst borrowing billions for tax cuts for people who don't need them or even want them. It makes no political sense.

Nick Timothy says libertarian right think-tanks don't understand that a pro-growth agenda doesn't "come out of thin air" but has social foundations. Supports "capitalism constrained" "Capitalism unconstrained can destroy the things it relies on", says Timothy, citing Schumpeter

@Otto_English The grant from the EU was in turn provided to the UK from UK taxpayer contributions to the EU, as the UK was a net contributor. Everything paid for in the UK from EU grants, was in fact paid for by UK taxpayers, whether they wanted it or not.

@chrisy84875917 @ElanaMcdougall @ArchewellBaby No. It was governed by the terms of his mothers will trust. You need a better grip on the legal obligations of trustees. Second the terms of QM will also determine when Harry receives his testamentary disposition. For executors to not distribute is criminally sanctionable.

@chrisy84875917 @ElanaMcdougall @ArchewellBaby Charles had nothing at all to do with Diana’s money. That was administered by a trust with its own trustees. In fact much of it was monies she obtained on divorce . The trust was set up by her will as part of her estate. Do please engage properly.

‘In some parts of the country, the clear-up rates are truly shocking. The Telegraph has revealed that 84 per cent of neighbourhoods failed to solve any personal thefts – such as bag snatches – over the past three years.’

@DerrickBerthel1 @Strongarms12 Yes. Also if there is a big contraction in EU markets and perhaps others, how does the U.K. remain unscathed say in terms of export impact?

Polly is silly. She ignores the impact of training fewer doctors , engineers and computer scientists in the U.K. because we sell too many spaces abroad. She discounts the implications on U.K. students of fewer places in top institutions coz ditto ( 12.2 percent last year).
