Microsoft has officially updated the Minecraft: Java Edition system requirements for the first time in 17 years. The new recommended specs are: -16GB of RAM (previously 4GB) -A 2020-era CPU or newer, such as an Intel Core i5-12400 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600 -A graphics card like an NVIDIA RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT with around 6GB of VRAM The minimum requirements have also increased. Microsoft now recommends at least 8GB of RAM

The core reason I'm a glass half full on the Obsidian Fallout is because it *needs* to work if they want to survive. I also feel that the majority of great art is made under duress. Obviously endless budgets and all the time in the world isn't working. I think JE loves and understands Fallout and John Gonzalez is one of the best narrative designers to ever write in that world. Of course, I've been wrong before and I'm wrong all the time. But I know one thing: Obsidian crushes this, or they are toast.

Their first request was to get rid of all the swastikas. We had them not because we liked Nazism, but id thought it was ominous and fit the theme. Kind of like how we used demon faces for Doom.
At first, we didn't want to change this. Then Nintendo told us that a holocaust survivor at Nintendo USA had asked for the change, so we did it for that person.

When id did Wolfenstein for the super-Nintendo (1994), I was told that Nintendo asked us for three changes.
But first I had to go through every single level of Wolfenstein and modify it so it would fit on the Super-Nintendo. I had to remove some textures, some decorations, that sort of thing. I was always given those types of jobs at id Software.
I'm not complaining. I was gainfully employed at a rock star of a studio, so was always willing to do as asked.
