“We have absolutely no fuel (oil), and absolutely no diesel,” Cuba's Energy Minister, Vicente de la O Levy, said on Wednesday, “We have no reserves.” He said Cuba's national grid is in a "critical" state. ■ “Cuba is open to anyone that wants to sell us fuel,” he said, but only Russia has broken the US fuel blockade on the island, while Mexico and Venezuela, formerly Cuba's top oil suppliers, stopped sending fuel after Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro was abducted and Trump threatened any countries providing fuel to the island directly or indirectly with tariffs in January. ■ The Trump administration continues to escalate its military threats against the island and is reportedly directing the US military to prepare for regime change operations.
