I mean, totally agree and yes, nine and three Texas is going to be blocked by nine and three Ohio State. Texas the schedule is deeper. Ohio State plays more of the very best team in the country though.
Andy Robin@andyrobinplays

@BudElliott3 Would a 9-3 Texas just get blocked by a 9-3 OSU team that beat them and vice versa? Kind of an annoying year for these two teams to play each other (from their perspective).

@BudElliott3 @Fanalysts_FR i was thinking more like defense that historic elite depth of the 21 and 22 teams. jalen carters was dt5 of one the national championship teams. that aint happen in today era he getting poached be a starter else where.

@Fanalysts_FR @smallbig13562 He is fine. I love George’s chance of getting into 10 wins and I’m confident UGa isn’t winning a title this year because they don’t have a top level quarterback when so many other teams do.

Decision to go to a nine-game SEC schedule will cost Georgia a quarter of a win compared to the eight-game slate. It slashes Kentucky's odds of making a bowl in HALF. The bill for the move is being paid overwhelmingly by the league’s worst teams.

In doing research for Summer School on @Cover3Podcast I came across a crazy Kentucky stat and it made me consider how hard of challenge Will Stein has there. Stoops run was so much better than anything anyone alive today can remember from Kentucky football. And remarkably consistent. Mark Stoops’ best Kentucky run was built on a very specific formula.

Megaconferences have created more scheduling inequality than ever before within a league. These five programs need to hit it out of the park this year with the draw they were given.

Roundup of the first round vs my 2026 NBA Draft Guide: -Teams selected 28 of my top-30, and no one outside of my top-34 in 30 picks. -All of the 25 players I gave first round grades to have been picked. -The first 15 picks were the exact 15 players I ranked in the top four tiers

Noon, night, dawn, whenever Auburn is 2-6 at home in SEC games the last two years, and has also lost to a bad Cal team and New Mexico State at home recently. When you can’t talk team quality, talk stadium I guess.
stpalme@stpalme1

@BudElliott3 Getting Auburn at noon does help them.

@BrentyBrent88 I respect Nate, but how much do you wanna bet that he goes higher than Minnesota’s quarterback who Nate had in the first round.

Also, the Big Ten had Dante, Julian, and Fernando, while the SEC ran out Gunnar, Trinidad, Jackson, and a hurt Simpson. Top of the draft types v mid-round guys at the most important position. My data says having big edges at QB is an advantage in the playoffs.
Peter Burns@PeterBurnsESPN

To add to @Lane_Kiffin’s point on play counts….top tier Big 10 teams also have less competitive games which allow 2nd & 3rd string guys to get more reps & develop Huge when depth has disbursed via NIL & portal Margin of victory in Big 10 games almost full TD difference

My hot take for the 2027 class is that so far all the "big names" at receiver after Jeremiah Smith aren't actually as good as the ones that went in the first this year. Coleman is fast but raw as hell. Duff is huge but not very fluid. Williams is okay. Craver is tiny.

From earlier, talked to Thomas Haugh about his decision to return. Some good details on what he'll be estimated to clear, on how the whole thing happened, and what it means for both him and Florida.

I have no idea what Haugh is getting paid but it's probably a similar amount to what he'd make in the range he'd get drafted. Get's to still live the college life and be a #1 on one of the best teams in the country Also a weaker 27 class so he still has a solid shot at being a first rounder next year too
