Sinful: no context added to your LinkedIn connection request.
Even worse: putting something off-putting in your message.
This is a real message I received:
"How about we connect and see if it adds a little spark to life?"
How does that resonate with you?
But the LAST thing I'm struggling with is whether or not to keep my CR & Co. Instagram.
I always forget to check it. People tag me there and I never see it as a result of not checking it.
It's also not how I get clients 🤷♀️
Do I really need both?
3/3 🧵
I dropped A LOT of things this year that took up a lot of energy and didn't have the ROI to make it worth it.
It's been such a freeing experience.
The CR & Co. Blog, Facebook page, Newsletter, Facebook Group and Digital PR School as examples.

@HeidiPCTV@CTVAtlantic We will definitely miss you, Heidi. You were a familiar face sharing stories in our communities. Best of luck in your new chapter.
Today was my last day @CTVAtlantic. It’s a bittersweet day, after working with this talented team for almost 13 years. The next chapter is exciting, but I look back fondly on these years, serving viewers throughout the Maritimes. I will continue to do so.
Much thanks.
I’ve never watched Gilmore Girls.
(Well, I watched the pilot years ago, when I was sick, and all the fast-talking made me dizzy, so I stopped.)
Giving it a chance now. And I have thoughts.

@Jonathan_Meakin@NateTWN@NikiJabbour Yeah! It's a bit disappointing when you love the fall colours. I guess we wait until next year or travel a bit inland to see it. 🙂
I was surprised to learn that some ppl didn't know about salt spray and how it burns your leaves after a high wind event.

@smartcatmkt It’s crazy and everything looks so different. Plus seaweed galore everywhere. Could you imagine what would’ve happened if we had the surge from Fiona
28 ft waves were recorded in the Halifax area. They were massive and the videos have done no justice. The area I was around normally looks like the 1st picture. The rock wall is over 10 feet in most areas and I was parked on the road when these waves came up in picture 2. The water was higher then the rock walls before the waves. It was crazy. High.
Can’t wait for all the official numbers to come out. Who knows what the next high tide will look like.
Not a lot gets my goat but hours upon hours of unnecessary traffic during dangerous conditions, watching parents pose toddlers Oceanside for storm selfies…Jesus wept.
@KASocialMedia I woke up shortly after 4, and got up after 5. But grabbed my pillow and headed for the rec room downstairs. Man. My cable box makes a crap ton of noise.
@melcoach To master the local market first before expanding. And, as a digital business, that was bad advice. A large percentage of my business comes from out of province.
