@gordonwright23 @HM_Passport After we gave confirmation by email my husband had his own one back within 3 days. He got a notification on the Tuesday to say old passport was received and then a message on Wednesday to say it was posted special delivery and he had it 8 am next morning. Sure all be good

Passport latest British Airways has removed from its website the incorrect assertion “UK citizens need a minimum of 6 months validity on a passport that is less than 10 years old to travel within the EU.” Instead, BA now links to UK government advice – which, sadly, remains wrong

So back in just 3 days x we asked for special delivery so even had text last night confirming on way so have is piece of mind.

Had an email this morning to say my original letter sent 10 days ago has not been linked to my application and to send a scanned copy to them. Now advising it will be another 5-7 days before documents can be received back : absolute joke!

@J4YNET @smartypn @swiney6913 @HM_Passport It’s an absolute joke! I’d be quite happy to drive and collect my documents but they won’t let me! Fingers crossed they arrive for your holiday! We fly 1st Nov so I’m just hoping I withdrew the application early enough for them to arrive back to me

@FelicitySchull1 @J4YNET @swiney6913 @HM_Passport It’s just all a bit concerning when timescales are tight - I got an email saying it can take approx 5-7 days for Liverpool to receive the docs form an offsite location and I know ours is in the process of getting brought back now - if they take the 5 days the hoping posted back

@FelicitySchull1 @smartypn @swiney6913 @HM_Passport Annoyingly to is I had to renew in March cos it had expired, It took less than 1 week at a cost of £75, now changing my name in the passport was costing me the same again, all other years get ignored, and now cos I have to abandon the application I lose the money
