@LancesEmporium I saw the comments about the durability nerf and thought people were being whiny.. then I played a couple of rounds and had to repair my anvil between each round. It’s just not any fun.

@heychazza @ARCRaidersGame Yeah I mean every time I get shot I try to stalk the fucker and I dream of sending Darleen hitmen on them.. but I have realized that without that tension the game would not be enough. That tension is worth the (relatively) few lost loadouts.

Honestly that is a really good point, it’s a tough situation really. I love the thrill of knowing I *might* lose something due to Arc (as frustrating as it is 😂)x I think my biggest frustration is just enjoying the game with friends and suddenly being beamed from behind. Or befriended.

@heychazza @ARCRaidersGame I also hate being ratted but in my opinion a clean pve mode would strip all the tension out of the game. Especially when there’s no real end game in the game.. The thrill of never knowing if there’s a rat around while extracting is too valuable imo.

Quite sad and disappointed to see y’all leaning more in the PvP direction. I started playing 3 weeks ago and have loved finding other players, then teaming up and killing arc bosses or helping one another. However being killed by RATs is extremely frustrating. I would’ve loved a PvE only mode to cater to both audiences.

@ARCRaidersGame Im sad to say that the nerf of the cloak is severely reducing my will to play. Im a 400+ hour since march player. A grown ass man with a family and limited time to play. This change makes the game more hardcore, and I’m just going to assume you don’t want us casual gamers playing

@jmdenisme @linuz90 @ARCRaidersGame I have about half that and it’s starting to feel a bit stale. If I was to move to PvP from pve I would just shoot people and escort them to the extract.. at least if they are obviously pve. I do 99% pve and hate being shot, but it’s part of the game. Without it arc is pointless.

I lean hardcore - 920hrs in. I like both PvE (trials) and PvP (mostly solo), and that's where it gets weird. PvE lobbies feel crucial for trials (no backstab risk), but switching back to PvP after feels wrong - like I'm hunting "innocents" who never signed up for it in the first place.

Thoughts on the new @ARCRaidersGame patch. 🧵 Map looks great. New arc is not fun (force long-range), blueprints are mid and not worth grinding since new expedition soon. Real issue: the loop is still unsolved. You grind, you cap out, you stop. New map, new arc, skill tree revamp - none of it fixes the structural problem. The core fun of ARC was tension - getting backstabbed at any second. PvE lobbies removed that and turned it into exploration mode. Exploration runs dry quickly. I also get why PvE players wanted out - that tension isn't for everyone. So how does ARC bring back the early-days dopamine without forcing the people who hated it back in?

@ModeFas @WAServers @ArcRaiderAlerts Yes. I’d quit directly. I get super annoyed but it’s a vital part of the game. Sure they lose some players who can’t stand the PvP element, but my guess is that they will lose even more if they do pve lobbies. Unless they also ramp up the rpg elements at the same time.

@WAServers @ArcRaiderAlerts No. I’m 99,9% pve and hate getting killed by rats but the pvp element is probably the most effective way making this game truly exciting. Without the risk of pvp it wouldn’t be nearly as exciting.
