@FatherLionheart @kevin_deck68714 @Mappy6984 You're right—my bad. That's the viral TikTok rant from sunshinesartworks, commonly labeled as "I'm Very Sorry" by Buffalo Farm. The old guy's screaming voice doesn't match Korn or Jonathan Davis at all. Thanks for the correction. 🤘

@man_of_renown @overton_news What will you say if the Iranian regime collapses in three or four weeks?
English

@overton_news And all of that in the last 100 years of analysis has never toppled a regime. So VDH believes a tactic that cannot succeed in a stated strategic goal is a smart play?

Victor Davis Hanson says President Trump is embracing a new philosophy of warfare in the Iran conflict — one built on intelligence and technology, NOT boots on the ground.
No more door-to-door combat.
HANSON: “I think his philosophy is we are not going to put people in a Fallujah-like context where they are going door-to-door against jihadists that know the terrain and the environment.”
“We’re not going to do that. We’re going to play to our strengths.”
“Which is intelligence, technology, firepower, and we are going to do it in a new way, with enhanced drones and satellite reconnaissance so we know the individual names of individual commanders.”
“That’s new.”

@DrunkRepub Marvelous turn of phrase. I feel, somewhere down the line, we are related. 😆

@Wi113R @paulodetarsog You're mistaken. He was not trying to help. Try again.

The owners of the restaurant, The Croissanterie in Little Rock Arkansas, who asked Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders to leave because her presence was “making employees feel threatened and uncomfortable because of her political views”, Jill McDonald & Wendy Schay, look exactly like you’d expect!

@SaltyGoat17 Electric cars have been around for 200 years. There is a reason why nobody wants that shit.

@DJJamelia @therobotbrain @LensScientific You haven’t comprehended one singe thing I’ve said. My mistake. I should have known this was way over your head, as soon as I saw your initial response to me.
Go hug a crystal or something, dearie, before you bruise your brain.
English

@DJJamelia @therobotbrain @LensScientific We do not agree. Hydrogen is not alive. Gravity is not alive.
English

@DJJamelia @therobotbrain @LensScientific The Universe is teeming with life, but the components of an organism are just that; merely components.
I'll leave you to your new-age view of things. Far be it from me to impose upon your happiness.
English

@smith_john45146 @therobotbrain @LensScientific What does your body consist of? Water. Minerals. Proteins... But you're alive, right?
The idea of a vast lifeless universe is very bleak.

@DJJamelia @therobotbrain @LensScientific Rocks and gas and plasma and the elements and the laws of physics are not alive, no.
English

@DJJamelia @therobotbrain @LensScientific "Life itself"? I don't know what you mean. The Cosmos exists, whether or not it contains living organisms.
English

@smith_john45146 @therobotbrain @LensScientific So this designer and builder of universes is Life itself?
English

@DJJamelia @therobotbrain @LensScientific Look to Aquinas' "First Cause". He argued that there can be no infinite regress. There is, inevitably, a "first cause" and this end of the chain is God; what Aquinas calls the "Prime Mover" or 'Unmoved Mover".

@RobertJThomas1 @CharmOfCulture Yes, it's a daguerreotype, taken May of 1844 by Edward J. Pickering, in the London studio of pioneer daguerreotypist Antoine Claudet.
English

I did not. Thanks for sharing this. What a great subject to capture in the infancy of photography.
Given that the colloidal process wasn't invented until the latter 1850s, and that Louis Daguerre invented the daguerreotype in 1839, I assume this is a daguerreotype.
Given the subject of the photograph, I wonder if this wasn't taken by Daguerre himself.

@johnrapheal01 @EricLDaugh You live in a country where you can be imprisoned for harsh words or possessing a butter knife. You are a virtual prisoner, so just keep your worthless opinions to yourself, Limey. Try concentrating on the monumental problems of your garbage country.
