This is kind of unrelated, but when I was a teenager, I interviewed with a company that made a game I’d been playing since primary school. During the interview, they asked me loads of questions about physics, and honestly, I had no idea what they were talking about. I just liked programming and didn’t know much beyond that. But one of the older engineers who led the engineering team found me interesting and decided to hire me, even though everyone else was against it. Not only that, he sent a huge stack of study books to my family home. Because of that, I got the opportunity to work with the team. That experience has definitely stayed with me, and it gave me a lot of confidence. He always told me, “As long as you love it, it will work out.” That’s one of the reasons I felt like supporting this dream, even in a small way.
