@rad_hardened Since you brought up why he’s even on the ship, let’s be clear about one thing. If you’re one of those people who love this movie and how they put Grace on that ship you can never criticize any type of government draft in this country ever again.

My one gripe about the Project Hail Mary movie was that they rushed the first scene and didn't spend enough time having Grace gradually discover that he was on a spacecraft in deep space.

@SeanceCat3 @IMAO_ the idea would be that in some amount of time experienced by the ship (lets say 1 year), outside observers would see you travelling a distance that takes 2 years. This means that the ship is only burning fuel (at the normal rate) for 1 year - saving fuel.

@IMAO_ Why would time dilation make the trip shorter? Wouldn't the distance be the same just the time taken be shorter, the fuel required would be the same right?

Near the end of Project Hail Mary, I think the computer said it would take four years to get home but I thought he was over eleven light-years away. Did I miss something? Is that some relativity thing?

@sncusr @oh__zeno @EyeOnStalk @CoreyWriting I already detailed 4 earlier along with most of the other points. You derailing everything with your retard comprehension isn’t my problem. It is all moot regardless because of points 1 2 and 3. The changes are intentional and the intentions racist.

@sncusr @lossfunk Agro? Or mildly annoyed? lol but yeah, you do seem genuinely confused as a baseline, so this doesn’t surprise me.

🚨 Shocking: Frontier LLMs score 85-95% on standard coding benchmarks. We gave them equivalent problems in languages they couldn't have memorized. They collapsed to 0-11%. Presenting EsoLang-Bench. Accepted to the Logical Reasoning and ICBINB workshops at ICLR 2026 🧵

@SpuddyBHP @oh__zeno @EyeOnStalk @CoreyWriting its not irrelevant if the purpose of their britishness in the book is tied to the society that instilled their sense of morality - nothing about this would be unique to a white brit vs a black one. defend your fucking argument please

@sncusr @oh__zeno @EyeOnStalk @CoreyWriting story owing to it exclusively containing a particular group of people; the same group the author belonged to 4. The story’s theme has direct relevance to this group 5. There being a minute number of different people within the author’s country is not only irrelevant, but the

@sncusr @oh__zeno @EyeOnStalk @CoreyWriting You don’t have to be American to regurgitate predominantly Yankee nonsense in which distinct beliefs are haphazardly conflated because of racist prejudices.

@sncusr My original response was pretty easy for anyone that knew what was being discussed to properly interpret. I appreciate that that does not include you.

@SpuddyBHP @oh__zeno @EyeOnStalk @CoreyWriting you did the thing again. My arguments were specific to why it would work for *this* book. youre not engaging with them, probably because you either a,) havent read it or b,) cant remember anything about it

@sncusr @oh__zeno @EyeOnStalk @CoreyWriting I don’t think I’m trained to tend to whatever issue you have. White nationalism is rooted in racial collectivism and, often, supremacism. A dogshit, America-brained Wikipedia article misapplying it to European nativist beliefs is not only braindead but irrelevant to this convo.

@SpuddyBHP @oh__zeno @EyeOnStalk @CoreyWriting i made 2 comments, both were tied specifically to why i argued race didnt matter for *this* book. responding with broad notions about why a brit should never be played by a black actor does not engage with my argument. its just racism

@sncusr @oh__zeno @EyeOnStalk @CoreyWriting You’re so dumb that you can’t even comprehend when I’m addressing you directly and when I’m addressing the dogshit ‘articles’ you dug up on a whim. For shame.
