🇺🇸 Take a minute to reflect on the hallowed grounds of the Normandy American Cemetery in France on this Memorial Day. Perched on a bluff overlooking Omaha Beach — the very site where our heroes launched the greatest assault for liberty in human history — lie the final resting places of 9,389 American warriors who gave their last full measure of devotion during D-Day in World War II.
These are not just graves. They are monuments to American courage, sacrifice, and the fierce belief that freedom is worth dying for. Among them:
• 307 Unknown Soldiers — forever honored, never forgotten.
• 1,557 names inscribed on the Walls of the Missing — their spirits still watching over the cause they served.
• 45 pairs of brothers who fought and fell together.
• Three Medal of Honor recipients and four heroic American women buried side by side with their brothers-in-arms.
This sacred cemetery was established on June 8, 1944, just days after the invasion. This was the first American WWII cemetery on European soil. A permanent reminder that when evil threatened the world, America answered the call.
To every American who stormed those beaches, climbed those cliffs, and never came home: Your blood bought our tomorrow. Because of you, the light of liberty still shines bright across the globe.
We will never forget. We will never falter.
God Bless our Fallen Heroes. God Bless the United States of America. ❤️🤍💙

@lisathebeauty1 And idiots should not present an opinion on matters the know nothing about

@BhattiLaib9960 Refinishing the patched area was probably not in the scope of work. You should have specifically asked for that to be done. I think the patch job is pretty decent. It could have been worse.

I paid a plumbing company $4,400 to replace a sewer line under my garage, and now my garage floor looks like it lost a fight with a sidewalk 😭
They cut a huge section out of the concrete, repaired the pipe, and patched it back in with concrete that doesn’t even remotely match the original floor.
So I asked the foreman when they planned to stain or finish it so it would blend in better…
And this man literally laughed and said:
“It’s a garage floor, buddy, not the Taj Mahal. Be glad it’s not dirt.” 💀
BE GLAD IT’S NOT DIRT??
I’m sorry, but if I’m paying thousands of dollars for a “professional” repair, I feel like the end result shouldn’t look like a random parking lot patch job.
Now I’m sitting here wondering if this just tanked the appearance — and possibly the resale value — of my garage.
Would you push back and demand they resurface the area properly, or am I overreacting?

@TheRealJamieKay The verse is talking about law abiding people. It does not say that someone that comes into your country illegally should be treated that way. People Breaking laws should face justice.

I’m in favor of raising teacher pay. But I’m unclear how this will “fix” education: is it that teachers are not working hard but will for a raise? Or that higher salaries will lure capable people from law, medicine, tech, etc.?
Jen@jenteach13
You want to fix education? Pay teachers more.

@autocorrect2_0 A truck hit my mirror with his mirror as we passed each other on one of these great roads that are barely wide enough for a covered wagon in Ascension parish ; anyway the mirror was $800.

@ProPelsTalk And the high school kid will go to a college for one year then go to the NBA or will put his name out there for a transfer. It’s all wacked

I can’t blame Will Wade, he’s playing by the rules.
But this is such a ridiculously bad look for college basketball. You are literally killing High School athletes getting recruited by allowing this

LSU and Will Wade have constructed a very unique lineup for this upcoming season 🤔

Almost every town within a 50 mile radius of New Orleans looks and feels like Pleasantville

Gen Z is drowning in $500 car payments, student loans, $20 avocado toast, luxury apartment rent, and unnecessary travel expenses.
Yet, they whine about how hard life is. They have a spending problem. They just don’t want to admit it.
Normalize eating rice and beans.

Kevin O’Leary says Gen Z is financially cooked when people making $70K a year are spending $28 on lunch

@mar5hallhoops And we still are not seeing the outrage that boys are competing against girls and destroying their hopes and dreams and their hard work.

@RealRobReinhart You are disgusting. He should find a lawyer and sue you for slander

@Sheena_Marie3 So much about track meet. Who cares about that. But when a guy decides he’s a girl and competes in races and such and beats a bunch of girls , we hear crickets.

There’s been national discourse surrounding Mallard Creek’s disqualification in the 4x400m relay in this past weekend’s NCHSAA 8A State Championships. The DQ cost them the team title and disrupted what would’ve been a phenomenal feat of 5 straight titles.
Rules based on judgment calls always leave room for error. This was such. For the “he was warned” crowd, here’s video of him breaking the 300mH record. To be defined as taunting, doesn’t there have to be a target? It’s unrealistic to expect no human emotion when huge accomplishments are achieved.
Nyan Brown is a good kid; Mallard Creek’s athletes worked hard. NCHSAA got this one wrong.
