More Bad News for Trump: The judge who has been assigned to preside over former disgraced President Donald Trump's indictment is a judge who is known for having been tough on January 6th defendants. In fact, she's been known as "the toughest punisher." Judge Tanya Chutkan, an appointee of former President Obama, "has consistently taken the hardest line against Jan. 6 defendants of any judge serving on Washington’s federal trial court," and has handed out tougher sentences than the DOJ sought in seven of eleven cases. Judge Chutkan has even ruled against Trump in the past, as he tried to use executive authority to prevent the release of documents back in 2021. The judge's written opinion was "Presidents are not kings, and Plaintiff is not President. Do you think Trump has reason to be worried about Judge Chutkan, or do you think he can get a fair trial from her, or both?

@leebren9 @gtconway3d What's interesting about the SA language is that it is so anodyne. Caroll testified that Trump put his fingers inside her and it hurt. In California that's called "rape by foreign object." So I'm curious as to what the jurors have to say about that. No "rape" without DNA?

How can anyone support this verdict when the accuser couldn't even provide a date, giving the accused a chance to establish an alibi?
