How unemployed do you have to be to hit 20k steps a day
astrid@chanelmethadone
20k steps daily will turn your metabolism into a furnace

@BirdieBangkok Been debating getting a stand mixer. Do you have opinions on this?

To beat the post holiday blues decided to bake. Been looking for a recipe to use up the left over marzipan from Christmas. These Cherry Bakewell marzipan biscuits have hit the spot. #BakingWithBirdie

@The_PattayaNews Oh yeah, they look really British. Totally British bro, nobody bought us Britz here.
Considering that Anglo-Saxon is actually a distinct ethnicity, we really gotta cut this shit out
Whatever kind of brown they are, it ain’t British

Three British suspects were officially taken into custody by Pattaya police, previously only identified as persons of interest, and charged with armed robbery after allegedly conducting a violent home invasion on a British expat and stealing two million Baht from his safe. All three strongly denied the charges, but police said CCTV evidence is undeniable. One other person of interest, another British man, is still being interviewed but not officially charged at this time, as his knowledge or role in the incident is unclear.
Two of the suspects had been trying to flee Thailand, one through the Malaysia border, when they were caught, revealed police. Full story below.

@snowkidind I didn’t say I wouldn’t bang. Just not hot enough to pretend she’s a ‘hot chick’ and it’s annoying in my feed so, pointing that out, blocked, moved on.

When people say that white guys have bad taste in Asian girls they’re talking about girls like this. 🤮

@BangkokDi @ThaiEnquirer Lol it'll be like the priority lane at swampy
English

@ThaiEnquirer So basically everyone with no bank card has to queue up for tokens every time? It seems pretty regressive in a country where approx only 61% of adults have bank cards. What about phone banking payments?

BEM to end MRT, MRT Plus cards in June; shifts to full EMV system
Bangkok Expressway and Metro (BEM) has announced it will discontinue MRT and MRT Plus stored-value cards and fully adopt the EMV contactless payment system from June 1, 2026.
BEM said all top-ups for MRT and MRT Plus cards will stop from April 1, 2026. The cards will no longer be accepted from June 1, when the MRT system moves to 100% EMV usage.
Passengers can request refunds for remaining balances on MRT and MRT Plus cards at Blue Line and Purple Line stations from March 1, 2026, to December 31, 2027, subject to company conditions.
The system will accept EMV contactless credit cards (Visa and Mastercard) from all banks, selected UnionPay credit cards, EMV prepaid cards from major Thai banks and BigPay, EMV debit cards from participating banks, as well as Mangmoom EMV and MRT EMV cards.

@snowkidind People wanted the institutional money to come in. The issue is institutional money doesn't go in and out of the market the same way retail money does.
Billions of $£ might be moving but we don't see it in the price.

@snowkidind @Ajarncom Thankfully, for them, disposing of such disposables is simply a matter of throwing it into the nearest shit-filled river.
Too good to eat a cow, but not too good to wipe your ass with your hand.

I've often wondered the same thing. Our local Indian joint - and it's just a regular restaurant up a side-street - has increased the price of its boneless chicken curry to 280 baht. Add on boiled rice and a naan and you're not getting much change out of 450 baht per person.
It's become an occasional treat now.

Why is Indian food so expensive in Thailand? Even in malls. It’s not like the ingredients here are more expensive.
English

@RelaxGeniusTV @Ajarncom Its because they have to use foot gloves to prepare the food. That plastic adds up...
English

@Ajarncom I have wondered the same thing, and I simply stopped eating the crap (‘Pre-Crap’, to be more accurate).
The thing that perturbs me is, how the hell are Indians able to afford this shit?
Maybe it’s cosmic justice and they’re finally priced gouging themselves.
English

@bitcoinjack I see what you mean though, it definitely keeps its scope within a range.
What seems to work for me is having plan files, and defining build stages with checkboxes. Trying to execute plans in its context seem to be not nearly as clean.
English

you set the bar with claude code. you need to be detailed enough with your prompts and nomenclature that it reacts to your process.
when you think you have a plan ask it to ask questions about your plan and then take time answering each of its questions.
iterate over your plan many times over until everything is worked out in quite granular detail. e.g. my trades worker plan (no logic no price sourcing etc) is 1158 lines long packed with extreme detail. thats just the part that opens and closes positions and does the accounting. I've been working on it for a week, iterations over iterations. Not a single line of code yet. and thats maybe 20% of the system
English

Write a very thorough spec for a large architecture. Give it to Claude for implementation. It then randomly decides to defer things. Just randomly decides to not build this one thing in the spec. When asked to audit the implementation against the spec, it will say it fully implemented the spec, even though the spec explicitly says to not defer that piece and it will gaslight me it was marked as deferred. Always wondered why these things happen on Claude, there is a certain degree of laziness, like real humans on a payroll. How do you get Claude to be more invested 😂?
