There’s a bit if that, inevitably. There are also a lot of people who find you annoying. To be frank, I find you quite annoying, and I imagine you feel the same about me.
I also think that if we spent an evening together in the pub, I’d come away quite liking you, and you, me. I doubt we’d agree on much, but I disagree with many of my closest friends. It’s a large part of what makes them my mates.

@MartinSLewis Can you please help clarify how this works in practice for plug in hybrids? My phev does around 30 miles on a charge, which I used for school runs etc. Will the surcharge apply to all miles I do in the car or electric miles only? If electric only, how will this be monitored?

Electric Vehicle 3p/mile surcharge, plug in hybrid 1.5p/mile on top of Vehicle Excise Duty from April 2028.

this is a weird feeling but let me explain
when I think of my wife, it's not just love there, there's this protectiveness
I know on some soul-deep level she's got an innocence and loveliness that I will never ever have, and it's my job to protect it and keep the world lovely because it has her in it
and being in close proximity to this loveliness for a few years, that protective feeling kind of extends to other people.
I imagine it's even more visceral when you have daughters
so seeing what happened with Iryna, is like a visceral, animalistic gut punch, a deep spiritual anger.

The big lie the Democrats told about violent crime is that it's "systemic" and therefore no one's really responsible. If the "system" is to blame then you fund a bunch of nonprofits that don't do anything besides give jobs to underqualified radicals.
The reality is that the gross majority of violent crime is committed by a very small group of people and we should be throwing them in prison.

@Anc_Aesthetics This is beyond words. Once he’s walked off I don’t understand why people aren’t rushing to her. She had nobody at the end. So scared. Nobody came, even if it was too late to save her, they could have made sure she didn’t die alone.
