The most dangerous run a winger can make? The one in between the full-back and centre-back. Always results in a chance:

@DexxterUtd Is it the players or is it the manager that wins games? Personally, I think managers must make best utilization of great players. The players must be great. The players and their talents win games. The manager must put them in the best position to win. Great Talent wins.

@GlennDavisSoc The Houston Dash need more marketing; the community barely knows they exist. Women’s soccer in USA has large potential. The team will sell for cheap at the moment and it will be a great ROI in 10 years.

How do you feel about the Houston Dash being put up for sale and being shopped? Can definitely be unsettling for players and staff. This per Sportico. The NWSL will not want the look of a team being re-located but it has not worked here. (Another story)

@DrewNewWho @TS_Secrets In my opinion, what matters most is the kid’s desire. Do they love to play and do they want to compete at the highest level possible? If so, I think they should be able to explore that. Maybe they don’t make it pro, but the journey trying to get there is the beautiful part.

@soccerscouter @TS_Secrets That’s the issue. Most parents have gotten delusional is their kids abilities and potential.

Hector Resendez - Trade School Secrets
Kids travel sports teams are a scam. My daughter did competitive gymnastics. It was costing us $9–11K per year. I see families doing the same with travel baseball, soccer, volleyball… Spending $8K–$15K annually. And almost every parent I talk to says the same thing later: “Why did we spend so much?” Less than 1% will play in college. Even fewer will go pro. So why are we draining savings accounts for it? We switched to rec ball. $90 a season. No more lost summers. Kids are still having fun. We have our life back. Anyone else step off the travel team treadmill?

@6anis_fcb Sometimes it’s harder to play against guys who don’t understand how to play. They don’t know what they’re supposed to do and their reaction times are delayed which can throw off the dribbler’s response.

@usmntonly They leave Mexico due to no opportunity, come to USA for a better life, and once they achieve that better life, they show no loyalty or gratitude. There’s no hate or shade at all, but put some respect on the USA. Fair play to him for following his dreams though.

24-year-old Mexico right back Julian Araujo, on loan at Celtic from Bournemouth, who played for the U.S. throughout his entire youth national team career, and made his U.S. senior national team debut in a December 2020 friendly against El Salvador, admitted that he never woke up to watch U.S. matches growing up and would’ve switched made the switch earlier 😯🎙️ “I idolized Rafa Márquez, Andrés Guardado, Chicharito Hernández, Giovanni Dos Santos, Jonathan Dos Santos, Memo Ochoa and Raúl Jiménez. I dreamed of playing with them and wearing Mexico’s jersey. I never felt that with the United States. I never woke up to watch them play.” “We always had family barbecues when Mexico played. I love and respect the United States, it’s part of me, but I didn’t switch earlier because I didn’t have my Mexican passport.” “My dream was always the Mexican National Team. It was a decision from the heart. Even if I had played just one match, wearing the jersey with my last name was something I wanted to bring home to my family.”

Be someone who players can respect. Spiritually, mentally & physically. Financially would be great too but not necessary. A coach is a leader of men. The players need to be taught and exposed to elite behavior. If the person teaching them is not elite, the players will have a tough time being winners. Goodluck coach!

@d1scholarship Yes, this is true. If the player is pretty good, and you’re not getting a response from the coach of the school you want to attend, keep trying until you get a response. It’s like sales, you need to follow up multiple times.

People widely underestimate how effective doing WAY more than other families is when trying to get recruited. In some cases, you can brute force your way to a scholarship offer.
