May 11th 1969-saw Jimi Hendrix at Indiana State Fair Coliseum. Chicago opened for them (I’m a Man) Since I could now drive and gas and tickets were both under $4, I saw about every act that came through Indianapolis for the next few years.

@773tom79 @UltimateMopars If I remember right, car was driven by a local dealer. For a month, he practiced coming into the pits at speed and braking at a specific flag in the ground. On race day, someone removed the flag. He didn’t realize it until too late.

@JayRock_QueenCi Great car. My parents had one. They are tanks. Lots of metal to protect you from all the idiot drivers: physics always wins.

I just bought a 1978 Ford LTD for almost nothing from my wife’s grandfather, who just wanted to be rid of it. It’s only got 7k original miles on it and has been garage kept its entire life. It runs like it came off the lot. I have no idea what I’m going to do with it.

@Paul_L_OBrien My mom stopped eating. Hospital sent an “expert”. Nothin worked. Expert said let her go naturally or use a tube. I took a spoon with soft food said “mom, I made lunch but I think it needs salt. can you taste it” she said “Sure Honey” & took a bite! I cried. Expert was stunned.

From the files of an Alzheimer’s caregiver. This morning my mom saw on TV that it was Fenway Park’s home opener. She turned to me and told me in great detail about her first visit to the park in 1946, when she had just turned nine. She spoke lovingly about going with two of her cousins and her dad. They watched Ted Williams, and that’s when she fell in love with baseball. Later in the day, I turned on the tv so we could watch the opening day ceremonies. She looked at the tv and asked me what we were watching. I said it’s opening day at Fenway. She looked at me blankly and said I don’t know what that means. I turned off the tv and put on music. This disease is horrible.

My wife go her new Tesla Model Y after a little accident in the previous one (the big truck had more damage than the Y lol). Picked the 7 seater as soon as it was available and transferred FSD. Best deal out there, especially for families! The smaller kids fit great in 3rd row! Thank you @elonmusk and @Tesla we love the sparkling black paint and the smooth full self driving. The sound system seems louder than ANY other Tesla by the way even the Cybertruck haha. I never get over the entire roof being glass that you can enjoy the sky and scenery and the sky. Beautiful! And the screen in the back with Bluetooth for the kids headphones to watch and listen to their own entertainment is a lifesaver!

@JATompkins I’m in a different state so I won’t be much help. Nonetheless, bike thieves suck. I keep thinking I should hide an AirTag on mine but wonder if it would really do any good.

@Paul26443656 Back in the day, I had a Battleship green 70 Boss 302. Bought it used and beat up. I loved the car but couldn’t afford to maintain it. Had to sell it. Still miss that car.

@LiterateIndy Visited this studio many years ago. I remember the guide turned off the lights. She wanted us to view his paintings with only sunlight streaming through the window. The transformation was incredible.
