I bought Bitcoin at $4. Or so I thought.
Peter Viscenne had offered to mine it for me. He bought some fast mining chips from Butterfly Labs, but rather than delivering them to him, they used them to mine their own bitcoin. Then when Peter finally got the chips, Bitcoin was over $30. So he mined what he could. Then we lost all our Bitcoin to Mt. Gox when they “lost” the money.
Since Bitcoin didn’t drop much on the Mt.Gox news, I did some research.
It turned out that Bitcoin was being used for remitting money, paying unbanked employees, and creating economies where there weren’t any.
So when I heard about the US Marshall’s auction, I bid over market at $632 and bought all nine lots offered.
Got on Fox Business in 2014 and said Bitcoin would hit $10,000 in three years.
The host looked at me like "Why did we have this guy on the show?"
Three years to the day, Bitcoin hit $10,000.
After that, my predictions have not been so prescient, but I have reason to believe that Bitcoin will reach $250k in 18 months… and eventually I expect the number to be higher as Bitcoin rises and the dollar falls to inflationary pressures.

This must be unbearable for Iryna’s parents. First their daughter is brutally murdered. Then the story is buried because it does not fit the preferred narrative. Only later does it gain attention, when people uncover the security camera footage and the community begins to understand what really happened. Finally there is public grieving and mourning, which might have offered some small measure of comfort. And then this absolute weasel of a mayor comes along and smears her memory as divisive, when the only thing she did was board a bus and lose her life.

He never provoked anyone. He deserved justice. Our leaders must strengthen laws to protect public safety and stop repeat offenders from being released.
San Francisco is failing victims.
• Dennis Duree – diversion → later stabbed 2 people (1 dead)
• Cassidy Wyatt Allen – repeat offender, diversion again → murder
• ‘Thompson’ case – released → stabbed elderly victims (63 & 84)
• Villanueva – diversion → killed someone in 36 days
• Hanako Abe – defendant released
• Multiple diversion/pretrial releases
• Charles Wentworth – repeat offender in diversion
In my father’s case, there was strong work from the @SFDA and @SFPD. But the system still allowed probation. This is not one case. it is a pattern.
We cannot continue like this.
San Francisco needs real justice reform or California law must change to protect victims and ensure public safety.
