@RevolutBusiness has notified me of their decision to permanently close my account, citing that my business “isn’t within an industry we support.” Upon reviewing their list of restricted industries—which includes sectors such as drug sales and escort services—the only remotely relevant category in my case appears to be “political organisation.” However, I have held this account for years without issue, and nothing about my business has changed. The only plausible reason for this sudden closure is the fact that I was born in Russia. This is not an isolated incident—banks across Europe are shutting down accounts of individuals who, despite holding European citizenship, were born in Russia. I work for one of the world’s leading American think tanks and run a small analysis business dedicated to helping Western audiences better understand Russia. In Russia, I have been labelled a “foreign agent” and face an administrative case for involvement with an “undesirable organisation.” It is highly unlikely that @RevolutBusiness conducted any meaningful review of my case. Instead, they appear to have acted based on nationality alone. This practice warrants scrutiny from those overseeing sanctions policies, as it seems to go well beyond their intended scope. Such actions contradict the principles of fairness and due diligence that financial institutions should uphold. It is a deeply concerning trend.

I completely understand the position of 'Kamala Harris is a lesser evil'. But Democrats can make that argument, without spreading the untruth that Kamala Harris has broken with Biden on Israel in any meaningful way.

Does Kamala Harris really have a different position on Gaza than Joe Biden? That's what I wanted to find out from Democratic Congressman Mark Pocan. Unfortunately he couldn't offer any evidence, and terminated the interview.
