The 4-day long weekend is over. Tomorrow the pace picks up. While I'm just preparing for what's to come on May 18th, I can take it easy and enjoy some family time. When you work, do good work. But do not neglect your health and family.

Had completely forgotten about this. About two years ago I added this entry to my calendar for August 2026. But I'm not 100% certain I will go. That's for a few reasons: * There will be another full solar eclipse in Spain in 2027 * This year's will be mostly in Northern Spain and will only last for about 1-2 minutes at a low altitude (evening), which adds risk. * The 2027 eclipse will be mostly in Southern Spain, will last for about 4 minutes, and the sun will be at a higher altitude. Would be cool to go to both, but that might be overkill. And if I need to choose just one, 2027 looks like the better option. But maybe it's not an overkill, because who knows what will happen in 2027 ... 🤔 I have never experienced a full solar eclipse, but it's one of the experiences on my to-do list.

This is a crazy find. In Crypto there is a saying “Not your keys, not your coins”. For software hosting we are not that paranoid, but maybe we should be.

Did you know you can use Canon EOS Webcam Utility with Canon EOS 40D and it works, even though it's not officially supported? Here is what you need to do: * Go to the Canon website and download Webcam Utility. Ignore that 40D is not listed as a supported camera, and ignore the fact that there is a Pro version of the software with a subscription. You will not need to subscribe. * Switch the EOS 40D to any of the following modes: A-DEP, M, Av, Tv, P. I was using M, but any of these should work. * On the lens, set the focus switch to manual. Yes, sadly, you will need to adjust focus by hand. * On the camera, press MENU and go to the 6th section. Go into Live View function settings and make sure Live View shoot is enabled. * Launch OBS Studio, add Video Capture Device as a source, and select "EOS Webcam Utility" as the device. That said, you are not required to use OBS Studio. This should work fine with other apps too (Zoom and so on), just select "EOS Webcam Utility" as the source. * Connect the camera to your PC with a USB cable. Enjoy! I suggest getting a permanent power source for the camera so you don't depend on the battery. It's a dummy battery with a cable that plugs into a USB charger. You can get them really cheap, and it's much better than dealing with old batteries. The EOS 40D is a 19 year old DSLR camera that can't even shoot video, but it can still serve as a great webcam if you can deal with manual focus. If you are wondering how the video looks from the EOS 40D, wait a few days. I will use it to record my videos.

@aks_nexus @athcanft Well - @adamlyttleapps told that this was 1 of 3 violations. That said, there might be some differences between the two. Because in case of CalAI it was shown as "random lucky pick", but the vibe of the offer is very similar. 🤷‍♂️I'm no expert. Maybe 1 is fine, another is not.

@CodingWisely hi! Long time no see! :) I finally decided to create brand new X account and now I'm looking for who to follow. Can you suggest few good accounts? Laravel, PHP, business, marketing etc.

How about that? New account shadow ban got lifted right after I upgraded to Premium. Coincidence or that's how it works nowadays?

This was enough to convince myself to try out Premium. Upgraded with 50% discount for the first 2 months. Will see though if will keep it afterwards.

I was curious if Premium accounts have much higher chance getting into 'For you'. My account if fresh, I should get very random sample. Scrolled and counted posts with, witout premium. 4 | 1 25 | 2 48 | 3 66 | 4 119 | 5 I saw 119 Premium posts before I got to 5th non Premium.
